I cannot believe people would accuse me of stealing or moving signs around?! as if a woman with her two children would do such a thing
there was a big sign next to the product which stated the price as being £6.45, i expect to be charged that price. i don't know if this goes on with other items but it seemed very clear to me what was going on in this instance, if it wasn't my malibu (my treat for the week) i may not of realised and would have been conned
as for the person who said i agreed to the price at checkout, it is impossible to read the small screens when the person checking is scanning items through really fast. i expect to pay the price i see on the shelves, is that too much to ask?
I am more shocked that you get through a bottle of malibu in a WEEK!0 -
What difference does it make that you're a mum with 2 children ? I don't see why you say Morrisons are ripping you off, you made the mistake, not them. You should always check the price if you're buying anything labelled as a special offer, and i also check the item as it goes through the checkout too, not everything, just that particular item. It's not difficult, even with 2 children.0

We have this problem at our local Tesco Extra - they will fill gaps in the shelves with a different product but not remove the ticket. Or they'll change an offer (e.g. from 2x alcopops for £5.50 to 2xWKD only for £5.50) but the yellow tickets look very similar. We've learnt to scrutinise the yellow offer tickets carefully.:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

OP how many bottles of Malibu were on this shelf? customers are a pain for picking something up, finding something on a better offer a bit further down and dumping the original thing right there on the shelf where it don't belong.0

morrisons seem to do this all the time. I'm fed up with the amount of times i have picked an item up thinking it was a certain price only to find it is a lot dearer. The lables are so small it's nearly impossible to read them esspecialy if they are low down and you are elderly0

Did the manager then remove the ticket or incorrect items or leave it to mislead another customer?
That would be worth complaining about as they knew it mislead but left it!

Morrisons (like all supermarkets, I guess) are very bad for this, I always take my specs with me when I go shopping now. There was an offer this week for Heinz ketchup at £1. On the shelf, directly above the ticket, there were large bottles of ketchup. I thought it was highly unlikely that they would be £1 and when I checked the label, sure enough, it was the smaller size that was on offer, although they didn't actually have any of the smaller bottles on the shelf. I'm guessing that a few customers were caught out by that one."I may be many things but not being indiscreet isn't one of them"0

They do this a lot - though in fairness they've refunded me without problem in all but 1 occasion. The last one the Customer Services person had an instant attitude with me and said I was wrong. I asked for somebody to check, she eventually got somebody but told me that she wouldn't be able to do anything but accept a return as there is no way that is on offer for that (£2 for 2 tubs of butter, hardly an unbelievable offer). Her colleague confirmed I was correct, the look on this persons face was priceless.
A previous time it was a product that was no longer on offer yet still had a large red shelf label below it with £2 on it, as well as normal labels also with the £2 price. The product was actually now retailing at £3. They were told several times about this but still didn't move the label.
Got £10 for one complaint, and £5 for another. Can't moan at that.0 -
Went to Asda yesterday and saw an item I wanted reduced on the shelf label to half price. At the self-checkout it came up as full price so I went back to the aisle and double checked. I was right and an assistant confirmed this and told me to go to Customer Services and they would sell me the item at the reduced price.
I did, and they did.
But in this case they had made a mistake, not me.0 -
I detest Morrisons for these "errors".
why put something on special offer if you don't have enough stock?
why leave the offer sign there but put a larger box, more expensive brand in the empty space?
i can understand space filling - but why not remove the label? or put a cheaper product there?
ah - this would be cause Morrisons know exactly what they are doing and must make a fortune out of it.0
