I am fully aware that i have a legal right to these statements under the data protection act.

Under the DPA they have the right to charge £10,which is diffcult to enclose vai email

I think its because your account is actually with GE Money. Dorothy perkins would have been the referrer and the GE Money product is no doubt dressed up as the "Dorothy Perkins Storecard". The limit of DP's involvement is no doubt limited the fee they got from GE at the outset!

However that being said it would be useful if they had of forward your e-mail on to GE Money!

omg i didn't even realise that! how dumb am i, even after working for Topshop and making people take out store cards with GE! lol

You do not have a legal right to the statements - you have the right to see the details held about you but the format given by the company will not necessarily be in the form of a statement.

i was wondering if i could reclaim late payment fees from my arcadia group store card. ive had card for 10 years and have been charged several times inc £12 just a couple of months ago
any help how to go about this have read about credit card reclaiming but unsure as this a store card
any help very grateful

Does anybody know if you can claim back store card charges?? I'm assuming its the same principle as a credit card but not sure. Have two cards that i have been charged quite alot on over the last few years and would like to claim it back if poss. Anybody out there help??

Same principle, always worth a try. Write to them using the template letters on Martin's reclaim section, I am sure you will get something back.
