Hi i have read the articles regarding claiming credit card charges however i would like to know if this covers store cards as i went on a debt management plan 14 months ago and at the start owed Creation fininace £2500 14 months later after paying back £722 i now owe £3179 this is mainly due to £40 of charges plus interests which is £71 per month going on to my account i have now finished with the debt management plan as they have been no help and got me in more debt can anyone advise thank you

Are you able to claim these back too?

Unsure but as they have to adhere to consumer credit act as do credit cards etc thought i'd ask the question.

Does anyone know if you can claim back late payment charges from a store card please?

I used Martin's recaliming charges letter to write to Argos, got a response back last week that although I had £77.50 of charges on my account, as a good will gesture they would offer me £12 back. Also that store cards are not covered by the same rules - so basically tough stuff!

Any help would be appreciated as have just come back from a week away to find I only have 14 days to reply on this!

Store Cards are basically Credit Cards you can only use in one store.

In terms of reclaiming, they both follow the same process, so you should refer to Martins Credit Card reclaim guide.

I did refer to the guide, however Argos are saying they are not bound by the same rules as credit card providers.........

They can say what they like, at best they're misinforming you, at worst lying.

Just continue with the process for Credit Cards and you should get your charges back.
