She won't like that.
This is going to be your best option and I'm willing to bet they don't hang around and wait for the police. The word "gullible" isn't in the dictionaryTickets: 19 [cancelled: 18, paid: 0, pending: 1]

Ask this crazy b!tch for a copy of the court paperwork, ask for the case number and a copy of the warrant of execution etc when she next turns up. She won't have any of these and they won't falsify them either because that would get them in serious trouble. Also ask for a copy of the financial paperwork for this alleged debt, how it was created etc. She won't have any of this but will still be there with the intention of collecting money.. blackmailing with menace springs to mind from memory of a clamper that got done recently.
As others have said, record, take photos and then get the police involved.0 -
I wonder how they would like a visit !

Odd how that address isn't on their threatening letter ...says it all really ..no better than school bullies ..0 -
I think that's impersonating a bailiff which is a criminal offence. I would report it in writing to the OFT (long term they may stop these scammers). Also in writing to your local Trading Standards office pointing out clearly that there is NO ACCOUNT and NO ARREARS and NO DEBT.
And if they do call round call the Police and say there is someone impersonating a bailiff without a warrant or court order, or even a credit agreement or account with the company, harassing you on your doorstep.
Send a pm to Herbie to take a look.

What can't debt collectors do?
Debt collectors are not bailiffs - and they can't pretend they are.
First and foremost, as we've mentioned, debt collectors don't have any more legal powers than your lenders, and they must act according to your wishes.
Debt collectors are not allowed to:
Visit you without your permission
Enter your home unless you let them
Stay unless you want them to
Call you at unsociable hours (i.e. late at night)
Contact you at work without your permission (unless your debt is a business loan)
Tell anyone else about your debt, e.g. friends, family or colleagues.
So they have already broken the law by turning up without your permission. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -
In my area doorstep crime is taken VERY seriously by the Police
This crime is defined as extracting large sums of money from people
The Police advise that if a crime is in progress dial 999.
I had occasion to report (after they had left) a potentially suspicious doorstep caller using a none emergency number. Within 10 mins a 2 up patrol car turns up much to my surprise The police team very concerned and requested next time a 999 please.0 -

A misconception I believe, they are in breach of the OfT guidelines on debt collection and as such their license is at risk.
But that doesn't mean they are actually breaking any law by just turning up ...the OfT guidelines are not law they are just guidlines ..:(0 -
