No they haven't. Once again they are being "economical with the truth". The only way that a credit rating would be damaged is if the case goes to court, you lose and THEN you fail to pay whatever the judge orders within 28 days. As it won't go to court then you have nothing to worry about.
They are also wrong about all the other people at the address having their credit rating damaged. That's just not true.What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -

We had another letter recently after receiving the promise of a debt collector no-one turned up now we have received a letter saying because we have not responded to previous letters we understand that legal action (they put that in capital letters) through the county court is about to start.
They said our credit rating would be affected along with any fellow occupiers of this address.
Has anyone ever been taken to court by these people.
No. No Court, no CCJ, no credit rating affected.
It's just one of the last standard letters as already advised, you should just be laughing at these desperate threatograms by now!
