Car Parking Partnership not giving up

What is more interesting is looking at the CCA licensing history of PS&P and its directors and linked companies. There have been a chain of company comings and goings for the last 10 years plus. Why so many and why do the directors need multiple debt collection companies operating from the same premises at the same time?
The operating base is at Bolton (It's within spitting distance of the Reebok)My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0 -
Indeed, you can even pay them a vist if you so desire:
www. phoenixcommercial.co.uk/ContactUs/
And here are the three companies which are currently part of the Phoenix Group:
www. phoenixcommercial.co.uk/ - Phoenix, PS&P and MC2 ("Strength in Numbers")
Loving their name, by the way - all those connotations of 'rising from the ashes' (...of former shell companies against which there may or may not be multiple court judgements, etc)0 -
I've had the exact same letter. I'll PM Crabman if it's not already on the main thread.
If this ever got to court (which I doubt it ever would) They would never win."I did then, what I knew then. And when I knew better, I did better"0 -
My son who doesn't live here anymore keeps getting threatening letters from PS&P. We used to get them from the car parking partnership in early 2012 and then they stopped then we got the pink letters from the other people in about May 2012 then everything stopped. He never paid and ignored them because it was University that let him on to site to unload footballs and nets after a game and then as he was taking stuff to gymn car park people ticketed him. He disputed it with Uni and heard nothing until we got threatening letters from CP. Then in Nov 2012 we started getting letters from PS&P and now they are coming every couple of weeks. The latest threatens us with doorstep collectors. I suffer from angina and can do without this stress but everyone says ignore them which I am doing. Has anyone ever been taken to court and what do I do if doorstep collector turns up when my daughter is at home on her own.0

I don't think anyone has actually reported any "doorstep" visits. Those letters seem just an empty threat. But they do need reporting. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

You will not get a doorstep collector. The real amount outstanding is far too little to ever justify that and even in cases where many thousands of pounds are outstanding (or are alleged to be - not for a parking invoice though) - debt collectors will not incur any additional expense because its not in their interest to do so. They rely on letters that threaten all manner of nonsense to frighten people - preferably into paying - in exactly the way that you have been frightened. My son who doesn't live here anymore keeps getting threatening letters from PS&P. The reality about debt collectors is that they have no more powers that you or I to collect debts. In the final analysis all they can do is to ask. Rarely do debt collectors have the right in law to take matters to court and even when they do, do not do so because it simply adds to their costs. Debt collectors buy debt at pennies on the pound and the only way they can make their money is to get it back as cheaply as they possibly can. A few threatening letters churned out by computer cost very little. Sending a flesh and blood person to someone's door costs a lot. It isn't going to happen.
Chill. Put your feet up and have a glass of wine/beer/whisky/brandy or cup of tea/coffee.My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).

Thank you. I do appreciate your replies and it makes me feel easier. I will just tell my daughter not to answer the door. They say the debt is now £121.00. Has anyone ever been taken to court as well.0

Woody please stop worrying about this, they have never done court ever ! And in answer to your question on court, here is some statistics for 2011
Home Office
1.8m fake tickets issued
FOI request to the courts on BPA AOS members
845 small claims raised
49 went before a judge
25 went to the motorist
24 went for the parking companies
Out of those 24 wins most if not all were default judgements where there was no defence submitted, so automatically it's a loss for motorists.
So 24 wins out of 1.8m fake tickets, you do the mathsWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.

Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

In the unlikely event someone did turn up simply tell them to do one, they have no authority whatsoever.0

Thank you. I will let you know how we get on and if we receive any further letters.0
