I'm not a vegetarian but I would like to eat less meat and would like to experiment with some vegetarian cookery. So, being the OS MSE'r that I am, I have reserved the book at my local library rather than buy it. Hopefully I will be able to pick it up tomorrow and may visit the market on my way home.

Evening all
I have another four day weekend - woohoo! checked the rota to see what i'm doing on tuesday and it showed me as on annual leave - i'd forgotten that dd has an appointment first thing - good job i checked though or I would have come in - how embarassing - much worse than taking kids back to school on the wrong day. We're all a bit jumpy at w**k at the moment. I work in a bail court and on Wednesday a detainee went mad and picked up the tables and smashed them. no one was hurt thank goodness but I have been battling with the bosses for years telling them that the court is not secure enough!
My house is a tip because i sat down last night - fatal mistake - and ended up falling asleep at 8.30 and then not getting up till late. Am going to tackle it all in a bit to free up the weekend. Why is it that the house gets into such a mess even though there is no-one here all day.
have a good evening

Well I was going to sit down and do nothing this afternoon, ha! ha!.....I started off putting a picture up, then the cabinet in the bathroom, and then the curtain fittings in the sitting room, I took down the old ones and put up new, one of the old ones I had to SAW off, the screws had been pained over so amnt times I could not get the screw driver into it.....cooked spag bol and creme caramel for supper, so now I am sat down waiting for a call from someone to collect the microwave and an ice cream maker which I have only used once in the last 12 months..........will be glad to see the micro go, its on the floor in front of me as I sit here taking up a load of space.......

everyone,
Well one very tired and satisfied Smoky here. The utility room and adjoining corridor have taken the best part of today to do, this room is much bigger than our kitchen and holds the wm, dryer, fridge freezers plus various other cupboards etc. To be fair I am rather ashamed of the condition it had got into but it's gleaming now.
:T :T :T
I am heading off for a hot bath and something to eat , probably accompanied with a cold lager and an early night as I am pooped.
Take care everyone, see you in the morning.

Good evening to everyone - I've missed you today! Desperate phone call last night from a friend begging me to work in her shop today and I couldn't say no. Seemed like a long day and I had to learn the till. Have never worked in a shop before - except a chemist's on work experience years ago - so it was a new experience for me. Lovely shop full of girlie things like shoes, handbags, jewellery and hairbands - loads of little girls begging their mums to buy everything in the shop! Had to buy a sandwich for lunch which I know is not very MSE but I didn't know till I got there that there wouldn't be enough time to go home for lunch. It was a very nice sandwich, though, one round of cheese and tomato in wholemeal bread for £1.40 from the baker next door so I didn't feel too guilty! Dinner was meant to be something I'd spent the afternoon on because I'd got the lamb chops out of the freezer before I knew I was working but, in the end, it was a thrown-together meal. Tasted lovely, though - boiled new potatoes, lamb chops roasted in the oven with gravy and left-over veg added for the last half and hour, followed by Amie399's Weetabix brownies covered in yoghurt. Lovely combination! Anyway, feel bad because I've read all your posts so quickly due to lack of time and just want to go and have a bath and settle down to watch Have I Got News for You with my knitting! I'll probably be up early again in the morning because I have so much to do now it's playing havoc with my mind and I need to start being able to tick things off my list. Hope everyone has a great evening and love and hugs to all those in need. Will read this thread properly in the early hours!:hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:KNIT YOUR SQUARE TOTALS:
