Weathers turning out much nicer here too. Not up for walking but without being asked DP has got off the computer (where he spent 2 1/2 hours since waking up) and has took the dogs and kids out for a walk. So I'm sat here after blitzing the downstairs floors waiting for the sitting room floor to dry :) What an excuse. Downside is being warmer they are drying much quicker, so will be back to work soon :( Must get that sitting room window done actually. Seat pads about finished in washing machine from dining chairs, eww they looked grubby! Cloth wash next I think.

Just watched this actually, http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/video/shifthappens very American in a lot of ways, but no less scary.
One day I might be more organised...........

    Hi again

I'm on holiday now until next Friday! Woooooo Hoooooo! :j

Today was the first day that boss and I were in the office after his holiday. He complimented me on coping so well on my own and even gave me 1 bottle of alcohol-free Bucks Fizz and 1 bottle of Chardonnay as a "thank you". I am not an ABC drinker when it comes to wine (that's Anything But Chardonnay - I heard it once on tv and thought it quite pretentious  ) so I will have a wee sample of it later. DS, DD and I will have the Bucks Fizz for brekkie tomorrow. Yum.

Queenie and PenPen I somehow missed the fact that you had injuries. Hope you feel better soon. Was glad to help re the book, PenPen.

Another glorious afternoon here and the seedlings are sprouting like mad. The wm is on and I will start making the lasagne shortly. The mince MUST be used by today so I cannot procrastinate any longer.

The lock on my back door has suddenly decided not to work any more. So, first thing tomorrow I will need to go out and get a new one. (No idea how easy or hard it will be to fit but, hey, I like a challenge. :D )

Hope the sun is shining wherever you are. xx

    Good afternoon everyone,

Forgot to say earlier - hope your knee is feeling better now Queenie x

Well, been quite busy today, cleaned the bathroom and toilet, and im gradually getting the kitchen clean - but with Tescos entire stock of easter eggs in there, its taking a while!!!! DD and i have just made chocolate chip cookies, and they are smelling lovely, and ive also just planted out my sweetcorn seedlings - no idea if ive done it correctly, but they are looking good at the moment, and just as i finished, it started raining, so saves me watering them!!! Luckily i managed to pick my washing in before it got a soaking too.
DS has just asked if his friend can sleep over tonight - will be our first one eek - wish me luck!! - just found out friend cant stay, funny, i dont mind, just finding out now if he is still coming for tea!!!

Well, i think i will go and finish the kitchen now, while i wait for the pizza dough to finish, now have an extra one to make, now DS friend is coming over - might make some little sponge puddings as well for dessert - a while back a friend came around for dinner, i did a roast and she did pud - which were shop bought sponge puds, so i saved the little tubs they were in, and now use them for my HM ones!!! Actually, that was a lovely surprise earlier - my friend who moved to Oz phoned me today, was lovely to hear from her, she is getting on really well, so very happy for her.

Right, hope everyone is having a lovely day,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Just a quick hello from me today…..

    Welcome to OldMcDonald & jennywren & princess81
Mrs Mix, hope you’re feeling better
MushyPeas it’s lovely to see you back and posting again, I’ve missed your posts.
BusyGirl, it's great to see you back too….glad that you got the pc sorted.
Kyle, I hope the little one has a lovely birthday tomorrow, my baby will be seven tomorrow….I don’t know where the time went.

I was rudely awakened this morning by Haribo Junkie on the phone who wanted to tell me (in great detail) all about her kitten’s sex life. Lucky kitten! but Haribo, you really need to stop giving the tom cats such a hard time….you’re turning into the mother in law from hell. Besides that, Snowy will be after you!

I have been doing nothing remotely Old Style, in fact I've spent two glorious days in the back garden in my bikini frightening the neighbours. We don’t often get sunshine here so I’m making the most of it. :D

Off to read through today's thread and then light the barbeque…I love being on holiday!

    Have a lovely evening everyone.

  • Hi Guys!

Been an eventful few days but not in a good way:rolleyes: ...families...who need them:D My health hasnt been good either, Im just so tired.

Anyway, we got home last night...thank goodness and 2 washloads done and dried outside. The cleaner was here yesterday morning so home is all spick and span and bedding changed etc. OH has done some gardening today and I had my hair done this morning as it needed doing...we wont go into the cost though:o

DD was away again last night, so OH and I just cuddled on the sofa and watched some TV. I really needed it as I feel quite insecure ATM:confused:

OH is posting 4 parcels off in the morning that have been wrapped up ready to go and we are at friends for dinner tomorrow evening which Im looking forward too, then an anniversary meal with BIL/SIL on Sunday at a brilliant Indian just outside of Dartford.

We played a fabulous game at friends the other day called Mafia...has anyone played it? Its superb and gets the old brain going!

I must knuckle down and study next week as I have a 2000 word essay due in 2 weeks ago:eek:       ...but tutor been brilliant, I also have to revise for my Social Work exam in June:eek:

Have 3 hospital visits next week which Im not looking forward to, but have escaped a few these past 2 weeks, so cant moan.

Anyway, Im going to start this weeks menu plan thread with the kids back at school again this week and money being tight, I thought I would start early. Please feel free to join in.

    Hugs to all.

First of all apologies but no matter how hard I press my thanks button isn't working.:o

Second of all. Pink. You said you were up already.:naughty: And....It was almost midday. :D :rotfl:

Oh the traumas I've had. My kitten is due to be spayed on monday and although there have been tomcats circling the house for a few days so far she has been a good girl and ignored them. Yesterday however she awoke with a spring in her step and a new reflex which made her want to stick her tail in the air, groan and sidle up to any moggy within yowling distance. Despite my best efforts she escaped and I called the vet who advised me to leave her to it as the op is only a few days away. So i left her and the better looking of the Toms (we'll call him MR Big) outside in privacy but he was so vicious and grabbed her by the throat. I shooed him gently away (honest Snowy :o ) but my little minx must have decided she liked it a bit rough and ran off after him.

That was 2pm yesterday and guess what? She didn't come home last night. So wracked with fear I searched high and low for her this morning expecting to find her poor broken body in a hedge. But no she was to be found frollicking with Mr Big an a bluebell patch and looked most pertrubed to be discovered.

So my baby has become a woman. icon9.gif

Other than that...Nice day here so took the girls out on their bikes, did the recycling, washing hoovering and some light gardening.

BBQ for tea and ironing this evening.

And other than a disasterous loaf in the BM this morning Friday the 13th has been uneventfull so far.

Hugs to those in need, especially those of you who have been going AOT.;)

    Haribo x

Afternoon all... or should it be evening?

I'm still in my pjs and dressing gown, don't shoot me down, it's just one of those days. Has really got to me, DPup having to move out for a while... there are a few houses on the market that I like at the moment, but it really won't help me not having a contract for a job, so have been cracking on with an application or two, hopefully there'll be more jobs popping up next week to apply for too, I really need to get out of this place, that's for sure!!

Am watching a few bras on Ebay at the moment-got remeasured the other week and haven't really got the pennies to buy anything much, but all of the ones that I like (that look like they *aren't* made for 88 year olds!) have been too expensive. Have found a few on Ebay that I like, £4.99 on buy it now, so am gonna ask OH if I can get 3 or 4 of those and they'll do me for a while!!

Not done much OSing today, made cheese scones and apple crumble last night though. OH came back from work with a ham and cheese roll for me, shop bought from the local bakers... I just wanted to cry when I saw it cause I could've easily have made one at home, but I guess it's the thought that counts. Haven't had the apetite to eat it though, ugh. Will prob have it as my breakfast before work tomorrow, won't be as nice, but I can't do a party on an empty stomach!

Have a lovely Friday evening everyone, not sure what we'll have for tea, possibly tortellini with either carbonara or cheese sauce.

Hugs to those who need/want them x
