Here in silence
So pleased don't have to talk on here as even squeaking hello hurts. I did however get some sleep as the coughing has reduced slightly
I do look half awake. Milk lady called earlier and said I looked and sounded awful, oh jee thanks for that I feel loads better now! Dad just called on phone, if wasn't him I wouldn't have answered, he was going to come over as I told him not to last week with kids easter gifts with me being ill, but not now, don't want to pass this on. Feel awful turning people away but just don't want to give anyone else this. DS2 said he's looked for my voice and said they can't find it. He asked what it would look like :rotfl: then if I'd swallowed it, they can be so cute.
Few things I won't be doing today, leaving the house as if I loose the kids (DS being hundini) I can't shout for them, can't take dogs out as can't shout of them either, if they see another dog I just usually have to say their name and NO and they won't run off, but like this I can't. Will see if DP will take them out when he gets up. Baking - if I cough and blow flour etc will be messy, wouldn't want to eat something anyone who is ill had baked.
Right time to stop feeling sorry for myself, plenty to do at home seeing as I am stuck in, lots to do in garden and house so I should get cracking.
VickyA sometimes you can claim on insurance for windscreen, excess payable but doesn't usually effect NCB, worth looking into.
Kyle sorry to hear last night wasn't successful, don't give up, when I did this with DS2 he was always falling out of bed so I put either an old duvet or pillows on the floor so if he fell he had a soft landing
Snowy sorry to hear the car didn't pass, hope you get it sorted
Hope everyone is well, hugs to those who are not (virtual only or I'll no doubt make you feel worse)

Morning morning all!!!
Not as bright outside today as it was yesterday, but looks as though it might brighten up. Will still go for a walk at lunchtime though. It’s exactly half an hours walk from work to home and back! Quite pleasant and get to do it most days if the weather’s ok.
Having a real nightmare with my broadband at home at the moment
can hardly get online, signs me up and then it cuts out
and my service provider has not been helpful at all  taken a month to get anywhere, and now I have to take a day off work next week for a BT engineer to come out at sometime between 1pm and 8pm!!! So I can’t even make the most of having a day off!!  I don’t even know if that will do any good! I’ve paid my fee this month as well and got no service
Got an evening off tonight :j will be a bit of organising needed in the flat!!!
Have hardly been there this week so it’s been a case of in, eat, out, in, sleep, out, in, eat out etc etc!!!
bit of a state!!!
I fancy a wander on the seafront after dinner, too nice not to take advantage. We’re going to have avocado and prawns for dinner with new potatoes and salad. We were going to have this last night but went to boyf’s for tea and his mum cooked a yummy spag bol!!
We’re going to have a fruit salad too for pud.
HM broccoli soup for lunch today with a bagel and some fruit.
I am so glad it’s Friday!!! Been a long week despite having Monday off!! So much !!!!!! to sort out and not enough time to do it!! Stayed late decluttering last night as I realised that in 6 weeks time it will be my last day here at the office!! Wow!!! I am so excited but really nervous too!!
Oh yeah, got my interview for college on 26th April!!!!!!! :j :j
Probably won’t be able to get online this weekend the way it’s going at the moment, don’t know what my plans are really, only thing I know for definite is that I am working tomorrow night at 6pm and Sunday 12pm til 6pm. Might go for a bike ride tomorrow, but I think it will be really busy where we normally go if the weather is nice, might go walking on the Downs or Beachy Head instead if it is, might be breezy enough for us to fly our kite!!
Think I’m going to make some more banana bread, as someone in my office very kindly gave me their brown bananas!! They were just going to throw them out!! Madness! They looked at me rather bizarrely when I asked if I could have them!! :rotfl: Catznine, we are now addicted!!!
I’d better get on and do some work!!!
Have a lovely day everyone, massive (((hugs))) to all, take care and chat soon

Thanks. Yes, I've contacted my insurance company.
I do begrudge it though because this is the second one that I've had on this car in 3 years! All my other cars have managed to survive with only a little chip! Yes!
Honey soy salmon
(serves 4)
Ingredients:
1 tbsp wholegrain mustard
2 tsp clear honey
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp olive oil
4 boneless skinless salmon fillets
100ml veg stock
1 bunch spring onions, cut into strips
Method:
1 Mix together the mustard, honey and soy sauce in a bowl.
2 Heat the oil in a frying pan. Add the salmon fillet and fry for 5 mins (make sure you turn half way through).
3 Pour in the mixture over the salmon and bring to the boil.
4 Add stock and mix these juices together.
5 Sprinkle the spring onions over and let the juices simmer for 2 mins
6 Serve with rice
7 Enjoy!
Couldn't find the recipe thread, otherwise I'd put in on there too.

Afternoon all!!
Got a load of washing to hang out and then gonna do some gardening hopefully today. Well by that I mean I am gonna be pottering around trying to induce the spirit of Percy Thrower to help me actually grow something edible whilst my OH cuts the grass!! I hate the mowing and will do any thing to get out of it.
We picked one very tired Brownie (DD1) up from camp yesterday and have all been walking around on eggshells ever since. They didn't get to sleep until 3 in the morning and then were up at 6.50 in the morning!! I have learned that the second night was no better so to say she is grumpy is putting it lightly and she is like a teenager trapped in a 9 year olds body at the best of times.
Something with mince for tea tonight as that is what I have taken out of the freezer but I don't know what yet. I really need to get the hang of this meal planning malarkey but everytime I try something seems to mess it up.
Think I will just have a quick read of the meal planning thread for inspiration before the gardening ensues.
TTFNI hated going to weddings. All the grandmas would poke me saying "You're next". They stopped when I started doing it to them at funerals

Hi everyone.
I'm not superstitious at all and it's just as well, as our house number is 13 and we've been very happy here!
It's another sunny day up here and I'm taking a break from creasoting the sheds. I used to like the smell of creasote when I was a kid but it's just making me fill ill today!
DH is upstairs painting the bathroom and DDs are at their friends' all afternoon. After my busy day yesterday of washing, drying and ironing all of our holiday stuff it's so nice not to have tons of clothes hanging all over the garden.
I need to make a list of all of the food we have and make menu plans and shopping lists for next week. I'm trying to save even more money so that we can put it towards our DIY projects for the next few months. Tonight's tea will be spag bol and fruit salad for afters.
Have a good day!0 -
