    Morning!

Just up and about, not really sure what time to leave to avoid the traffic...quarter to 8 maybe? I feel bad as I am going in my own car and not riding in the truck with co-worker. Oh well, I'm sure he'll be fine.

Just having a brew then some brekkie. Other than work, nothing planned for today as I will be staying in Taunton.

    have a good one x

Morning everyone. its a bit misty here in Brum at present. I am waiting for a surveyor to call re loft and cavity wall insulation, I'm hoping it will save on my energy bills. They said anytime between 8 and 1! I've got the washing in, and about to have 3rd cuppa so now I might spend some time lusting over fitted kitchens. Have a good day all.

    Morning all

N9eav - Hope you find out who your mystery caller was - I just hate it when that happens.

Racy - Maybe you should try feeding the snail to the coot - think of all that protien. ;)

Hugs to the rest of you.

After a humdinger of a migrene yesterday I'm feeling a lot more with it today (so far) Had a really early night which helped I'm sure.

Supposed to be taking DD's ice skating today and then on to an adventure play park right on the beach front, it's thick fog out there this morning though so will be chilly with the sea breeze.

Making chicken and chorizo spicy pasta for tea, at DH's request so must remember to get some chicken breasts out before I go out.

Sorted all the summer clothes out the other day - had a huge pile of stuff from last year for DD's but hardly any of it fits them  Looks like I'll have to get busy on ebay - it's all in such good condition still.

Hope you all have a great day whatever you're up to.

Good morning everyone! Had a bonfire last night, and got a huge thorn into my knuckle (straight through my glove  ). Pulled the thorn out, and I'm pretty sure there's nothing left in there, but it's sore this morning. It's a bit swolen, and I can't bend it fully. Good job it's my left hand, or I wouldn't be able to put the 2nd coat on my ceiling, or plant and dig.

Racy - your feeding daal to the LCC made me :D :rotfl:

Off to the garden centre today to buy hanging baskets and pots, then to a farm shop discovered by a friend - good cafe, too. Need to do my public duty and try it out ;):p

Another cup of tea, and a browse round here before I tackle the end of the ironing.

Have a Fab Friday, Penny. x

    Good morning everyone

Lots of you have been thinking instead of sleeping by the looks of it. Hope you can resolve matters and get some sleep tonight. :D
Snowy bad luck on the mot. Hope it can be fixed cheaply for you.
Racy you're the first person I've heard of who wants to save a snail. Maybe you could tempt it out with some beer (I've heard that snails love beer) and then save it before it drowns.
Pooky I had the same experience last week with DD. Looked out all her summer clothes and none of them fit her. I can't say I noticed her growing quite so much but it must be true. So, I had an expensive weekend last weekend buying her a few things to get her through the Easter holidays.

W**k today then I'm on holiday until next Friday. :j DS and DD come home tonight from XDH's so I'm really looking forward to that.

Was browsing the web the other night and came across a book that lots of people raved about - The Vegetarian Student Cookbook. I'm not a vegetarian but I would like to eat less meat and would like to experiment with some vegetarian cookery. So, being the OS MSE'r that I am, I have reserved the book at my local library rather than buy it. Hopefully I will be able to pick it up tomorrow and may visit the market on my way home. ;)

I need tea so toodles for now and a happy event-free Friday 13th to you all. xx

Edited to say: Oooh forgot to mention that I sold my first book on Green Metropolis yesterday!

    Morning all

I had a lovely day yesterday I went to the library, I haven't been since I was reading the young adult section :o I wandered around this huge wonderful library thinking, wowie, I can read any of these books.. For FREE. That's amazing. A love affair has begun :D

I feel like today is going to be a productive day here, I was dressed by 7.30. WOW. Today I must: do at least 3 loads of washing, sort out 'stuff' into a pile to be eBayed/Amazoned, begin to attack the mountain of ironing, get my bag ready for visiting the parentals at the weekend and get OH's bag ready for him. Hoovering also if I'm feeling super productive :D

SnowyOwl - Really sorry to hear about your MOT, they are such a pain here, must be a nightmare with the diff system there. Hope it's not too expensive. Must check when mine is

RacyRed - How about squirting the hosepipe down the spout? To just nudge him out?

    Have a good Friday all x x x

Edited to add: Anniebooklover - You knew about libraries too?! How did I not realise about these gems?!
