Anniebooklover - You knew about libraries too?! How did I not realise about these gems?!
reverie I am an avid reader and there is just no way I could afford to buy all the books I read. I use the library regularly as I read all the books I want and then if I find one that I want to read again and again, I will go and buy it.
It's a shame that more people don't use their libraries - they provide a wonderful service.
I hope you enjoy your time browsing (and reading, of course).

Morning Everyone,
This morning, I feel terrible, absolutely terrible. Ive got a really sore throat, and cant stand up without feeling dizzy and sick. I cant believe I feel this way, my SIL is 21 tomorrow, and shes havig a big party if I dont feel any better, I wont be able to go.
I just want to go back to bed and lie there all day, but, cant cos I need to look after the kids. I cant even take my painkillers, cos, they are very strong, and make you drowsy, so, they need to stay in the bathroom cupboard until hubbie comes home tonight.
Anyway, moving on to a lighter note, DS#2 seems to have calmed down with his temper tantrums:j I just hope he keeps them at bay today.
Well im away to lie on the couch for a little while, and feel sorry for myself. Hope everyone has a good day.
Jackie

Also, it's the last *free* service our council's provide - Use it, or lose it!
My friend informed me earlier this week that our County Council is talking about reducing the number of libraries  My lads use the library regularly, as I do.
Books, CD's, videos, DVD's ... not to mention when they sell off books at 10p each or sometimes a carrier bag full for £1

i love the libray too, quite often i can request a brand new book for fifty pence if they think it will be popular, i had all the children along to the library when they were little, also we can go to any library in the county, we have a pin number which lets us renew loans and request books online

Morning all
Lovely day here, given up digging and hired a rotovator for the allotment, so hopefully it will finally be ready to plant :T
The greenhouse is up and lots of seeds growing in there - my peas are about 1.5 inches tall, so need to read what to do with them next.
Have a good day everyone xYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever

Amie - I've done that before with food, so frustrating. But no point dwelling on it now x
Annie and Queenie - I joined the library online before going, I received the card 2 days later with helpful leaflet etc and learnt that you can renew and reserve books online. That brilliant service adds to my excitement about the whole thing
Also, if this is not a stupid question, there is a photocopier in the library (pay per sheet thing) can I use it to copy recipes etc? Is that what it's there for? I won't get told off for recipe copyright theft type thing will I? :eek:0 -
pen pen if you are not up to date with your tetanus jab i would go and get one just to be safe
Thanks, Twink! I am up to date
I think it's vital for anyone who spends time in the garden - you never know what might be in the soil
Anniebooklover - many thanks for the tip about a veggie book. I looked it up on Amazon and it's £3.49 there, if you like it and want your own copy. I use the Amazon *wishlist* to store a list of all the books that I'm recommended, and then go and order them from the library. Our Local Authority has recently offered a free book ordering service - if you do it over the internet. So I'll be off to order that one soon, along with Tightwad Gazette.
We're huge library fans - the number of books my children read, if we bought them we'd need to build a library to store them
Happy Birthday to Jackie's DS :bdaycake:
