Thirftylass....£27 cashback simply for signing to a free trial? Is this for real?? This is what I need to spend my time on!!!
It's £15 for Lovefilm and £12 for Netflix. I guess they're banking on people to forget to cancel the free trial and then paying for while till they notice. I'll use the free trial and then cancel by the end of the month.
Home with the sick wee man today and a bit ill still myself so another NSD :T
Thought what do people sell on ebay, I don't have anything. But then I thought of the dresses I already wore twice or three times to weddings, my doc martens my BF doesn't like and some unwanted jewelery, so might take pictures tonight and list them once there is free listing again (how do you find out?). Or would it be better to take jewelery that is in good condition to a jeweler?

The DMs should sell. Cant comment on jewellery as I guess it depends what metal and stones if any. Notification of FLW appear in Ebay notifications - usually on a Friday. There was one last weekend - but its worth keeping an eye outBe the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

Hi Everyone,
First of all thanks very much for the kind words and PM's I recieved from a few of you, after I was a bit down in the dumps yesterday, but new day, so onwards and upwards.
Reporting in with NSD #6 today, only been at post office a walk to send a parcel to someone who has bought an item from Gumtree from me, £25+£5 p&p.:j
My aim was 6/7 NSDs for the first week,so well on track and I have only spent £16.70 of my budget, so is going really well.
I signed up for the Netflix/Lovefilms deal of cashbacks, quick question tho, when do you cancel the free trial, straight after the cashback is given? or on day 30? Anyone know??

Right I think I need to get onto this Newflix things and get me some free cash. Which site do you do it through?“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. From previous experience of these things it can take months for the cashback to actually arrive in your account so I'd certainly advice cancelling before the end of the free trial to be on the safe side that you're not charged.Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

I'll leave it about 25 days. It tracks really quickly and apparently only takes 6 weeks to pay, but I advise to also actually use the trial a few times because they might check.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -

Have been revisiting my TOPCASHBACK account and signed up for lovefilm, so will hopefully get about £15 cashback from them in due course.
I manged to bag £20 at Topcashback for the 3-discs package. Is this the package you chose?0 -
Wow seems like everyone is on the Topcashback website... feel free to inbox each other about it too...:)..
How are we all feeling with the close of today? You do realize that we have almost been going a week now - can you believe the trepidation you may have felt this time last week and now look at you all. Sprouting wings and as ruthless as ever....ahhhh my work here is complete....:D
Okay not really!!!
I am writing off another NSD thank you very much - and a massive well done to the rest of you as well! Its great knowing how much I haven't spent.. I would have usually ( pre MSE ) gone to boots by now and bought myself a treat or two.. usually came to about £50 a month. Today I remembered to go to the gym at work ( a bit scabby ) and get my wash bag I left there...ahem...last [STRIKE]month[/STRIKE] night... In it I have a little toothpaste and a large soap which is what I have been after....
Now due to my temperamental skin I have been using Environ ( very expensive skincare range) - not long enough though to see if it was working but enough to spend £170 on some products. With the face wash costing £30 I packed it in sharpish and am back to Imperial leathers finest...:):):)..
However before you all gasp I do not have the "occasional spot".. I am scarred quite badly, and am ( for want of a better word ) riddled each month...I was at one stage a step from Roaccutane ( a very very harsh antibiotic which I have no intention of using ) and therefore cannot go out without make-up and need to be careful with what I use. I am now out of moisturizer and oil cannot be used so I think I will be looking out for some samples on my spend day or attached to a magazine...hummmmph....
So... knowing how a persons skin can affect their confidence no end you will see exactly how far I have gone in order to be debt free....
Anyway - my point. The soap I left in the gym bag was only used once, I cannot go out and buy more knowing it was there. So there you go. I am bringing it home...:p
WanttobeSE - how has the day fared? When do we know if there is good news about the job - have you applied yet?
IWillWin - great to see you pop your head in.. hope you are feeling better. And well done on the NSD run..
Sparklydog - are you a lurker - WELCOME!
Thriftylass - getting super thrify with those hunted items eh?.. Well done...Jewellry to a dealer on the high street if they are gold, proper jewelers / pawn if they aren't - then try eBay.
I have managed to score another 2 nights shifts, this Saturday night and the next. I have applied for one more after that and if I manage to get them all I am looking at a further £488 on top of what is on my signature.. although these are near guesswork as I am underestimating due to tax. But that should smash my target for the month although I am still going to try and make a clean £300 without the overtime being involved..
I am just really tired now.. got a few things to do and a meeting tonight so will be home by around 2300 and unable to add further as I am back up at 0500...
Onwards and Upwards my friends - we are in this together and by the grace of God we will WIN!!!!“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Hi all NSD 5 for me :j
Ninjasaving kat could you go to the cosmetic counters and ask for sample as you have very delicate skin. I have never heard of the brand you mentioned but my friend has done this and got lots of samples because her skin is very sensitive.
I have tried the oil cleansing method Thanks everyonelearningtobudget
i googled it seem to be fine for me. In fact it may be better than Lidl's finest :rotfl:
Wantobese well done on not spending. I had a day like I had lunch out with a friend that was budgeted for and she wanted to go in every shop and buy everything in sight. (so did I but I didnt.) It was difficult but it felt great reporting a NSD as soon as I got homeJBFF # 20 NSD 12/25
