evening .. 5th NSD! ... ive had to tell OH off today since ive started this ive been adamant that i will not spend any of my money so because im guessing him feeling sorry for me or not wanting me to feel left out he keeps buying me treats which is lovely and the thought is very kind but i want to go without IYKWIM ... ok im not going without but know i can do without with out doing without .. tongue twister ... sort of a retraining of the brain and i cant do that if hes spending his money on me sorta defeats the object :rotfl: as i said i told him thank you but its something i have to do he agreed but i dont know how long for though bless him ...
currently got the heating switched off and got a hot water bottle on me DS has a hot water bottle in bed (DD is at her dads so saving) ive left the little fan heater on for 10mins to take the edge of the cold off in the room ... i can layer up so im not bothered ... done my lunch for tomorrow from dinners tonight and theres enough for tomorrows dinner which is good as im doing a 10am-8pm...
i think i need bed .. first a cuppa to warm the cockles ..
well done ninja shows you hard work pays off xStill searching .....:)

Well done to everybody so far, and hugs :grouphug:to those who are struggling or are poorly.
My cold/flu? starts to feel a wee bit better but the wee man is poorly again now. So will probably be off for another few days. Glad I got the free trials from Lovefilm and Netflix. Not only did I get £27 cashback (just have to remember to cancel in timeit also kept me entertained all day today sitting with a duvet and a cuppa on the couch.
Just found that Tesco does the double up on vouchers in Nov/Dec also for electrical goods, so might get a new microwave (ours is 30 years old, still the original from when the house was built and not fit anymore) next month practically for free, yay.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
Congratulations Kat, you deserve it!You keep us encouraged with your kind mentions of us, and provide us with highly useful advice and tips. You also motivated me to pay off a credit card, for which I'm very grateful.
Iwillwin, so sorry to hear of your unwelcome news. I hope it can be something that can be overcome with treatment and your worries about it get less over the next few days, which I'm sure they will. If it's any consolation you've got us on here to offer some friendly words of support or advice, if you need it.
Well am up to NSD No 4!!!! Had a busy couple of days teaching (full days) with no free lessons, so not really had a chance to go on the net and check out cashback sites, moneyspin or get my perfume bottles on ebay (must do that at the weekend). Have been revisiting my TOPCASHBACK account and signed up for lovefilm, so will hopefully get about £15 cashback from them in due course. One person has bid on one of my dresses on ebay but not had any more sales of my books on amazon as yet.
As a previous post said (it may have been Determined Diva) I do find all this as addictive as spending money - I'm wondering why there is no happy medium in between? Answers on a postcard please!0 -

Woohoooo!! Check out all these NSDs that are coming in! I am super impressed! I want to get a cuppa before I write this but the moggy has wedged herself between my folded legs and the cushion my laptop is on..she is purring out heat and I need to embrace it while its free ( house heating is off )....
You know you are hard core when your heating is off in NOvember....ahem...Searching_Me...great 5 NSD's however OH buying me things thinking I am missing out would wind me up! You are saving - people seem to think you are depriving yourself of things if you go hardcore..tell him to wind it in and give you a long back massage instead......**wink wink**
Abundant1972 keep it going - hit that NSD 7 in a row...go on!! AND its your birthday in two days!!!..YOu are doing too well to spoil it now especially as you need to treat yourself on your actually birthday!!
Heffi1 / Cranny44 / GelMC - CONGRATS on your 4th NSD!!! GEL I think I need to check out these cashback sites.. can you actually earn without actually ever buying anything - like signing up for things then cancelling without a contract starting?..
Thirftylass....£27 cashback simply for signing to a free trial? Is this for real?? This is what I need to spend my time on!!!
Josiebabie - well done for getting the brother involved... your dinner sounds normal compared to my defrosted 3 months old baps with fried eggs and cheese in each one, pickled onions, el cheapo cookie and a cuppa... that's the most horrific dinner but I love mixing different flavours...sorry....I am a vegetarian as well - so well done on less meat. Cheaper this way too!!!
Tiggy10 - you are on the way up!! Thank you for stopping by and well done. I hope to end the month with an extra £250 ( hopefully ) so good luck - check back and let me know how you go!!
Well then its bed time for me, the moggy had moved so I might have one last cuppa...she has settled herself on the Freeview box...( extra warmth )...
I have hit 5 NSD's and aiming for another 1 tomorrow. Its a long old day tomorrow but posting off one last thing from eBay that took forever to be paid through... I still have my fingers crossed for another eBay payment tonight and am going to check out some cashback sites...
GOOD NIGHT!
Onwards and Upwards!!!“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent".0 -
Evening everyone, sounds like some have had a rough day :grouphug: so I hope you all feel better tomorrow
Well done everyone, the economy will grind to a halt before long if we keep this up...lots of NSDs and lots of low spend days  I saw a car today with the registration number NSD 43 - now THAT's hardcore :rotfl:
Clocked up NSD number 5 today. My 4 remaining spendies are carefully planned so my friend announcing she may come to stay in a few weeks could be interesting - we've been planning it for ages, and obviously I'd love to see her...I'll just need a bit of rejigging!
Got everything ready to make a Quorn Cottage Pie tonight until I realised I don't have a potato masher :A Didn't fancy lumpy potatoes so abandoned the plan and made some pasta sauce instead! Will have to get a masher on my next spend day (unless anyone can suggest a way to mash potatoes without one??). The pasta was yummy too though and I made another 3 portions for the freezer
I got all excited by the Ojon offer on Martin's email til I realised it's only on Thursday and I'll be at work all dayNever mind, I have enough shampoo to take me through til December so I don't need it - I do love a posh freebie though
Thanks for the info thriftylass about Tesco Double-Up Vouchers on electricals - I really need a small heater or an electric blanket so I may have to look into that!
Another day done people ... more of the same tomorrow :T:T0 -
