Would you class this as a NSD or a spend day with a zero balance spend?

What went out came back in so to speak - an NSD for you!

Really pleased for you that you hard work has been recognised by being in the email, well done Kat :)
I am proud to be a a part of this fab group!

Another NSD today, so thats number 5, and 4-in-a-row so far!
Cant see me needing to spend any money until Friday (food shopping day) and i am incredibly please that i managed to spend less than £40 this week on food shopping. I have done loads of baking, which i LOVE, and the kids prefer home made snacks (cakes etc) too, so its a win win situation!

Tonights dinner is a fry up. We rarely have this, so its a real treat! Eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns (if i find a recipe from somewhere!)mushrooms, beans, toast, tomatoes :) Cant wait!

Will be buying some porridge this week (cheap stuff from tesco/asda probably), as its the perfect winter brekkie, and cheap as ch...ok, CHEAPER than chips ;)

I literally cant believe that i used to spend £700 on groceries a month, and not be able to find anything to eat!!

I'm going to be spending just over £60 this week on food shopping etc, which is a HUGE chunk after being so strict on myself, but it's in a good cause.
Morrisons is giving 15p per litre off fuel if you do a min £60 spend in a single shop, so I will get some freezable and packets bits towards Christmas to make it up if needs be - or split the cost with a non car using friend. We'll take her so no taxi for her, and we can split any BOGOF's.

This is such a great post. Its amazing isn't it seeing where all the money goes. I remember my mum baking bread every few days in our house. Bread makers weren't around then so she did it all by hand. It's bee perfected over the years and I love having it when I get home..she makes banana bread, fruit and nut loaf, rock cakes and the most amazing dairy free sponge cakes - much lighter than a Victoria.

Your kids must be loving this. Have they said anything or noticed a change in the food?.. Fry-ups are a treat for me too... if you cook some potatoes and grate them before frying them in a lot of oil - check out a rosti which is just a massive hash brown! http://www.guardian.co.uk/lifeandstyle/wordofmouth/2011/oct/13/how-to-cook-perfect-rosti - if you want to get technical..:)

Yes porridge in our house was a staple breakfast with honey and grated apple on top. Cereals were a treat and to be eaten as a dessert or in from of a Saturday night film ( we couldn't afford the cinema )...

Onwards and Upwards WanttobeSE - you are SO on the right track!!

    Evening all:)

Exam went well and I am hopeful of a good result:)

Big spend day today, bought a load of Xmas presents in boots on there 3 for 2 offer, and a couple of other bits. Did food shopping, spent £48 quite a few bits to go with stuff I already have to make a proper meal.

Dinner tonight, spag Bol with enough leftover for tomorrow. Made the kids favourite for lunchboxes: pizza swirls, they are very happy. Pudding was yellow stickered chocolate muffins:j

Will be back to no spending again from tommorrow:)
