Hello everybody, don't worry we're still around. Have had to slightly revise the rules though, doing an outside market in this weather hot drinks are ESSENTIAL, no we cannot do a flask, it cannot manage the eight hours we need it to. Is that alright please Kat?
If so then Saturday and today are NSD's and Yesterday was a spend of £12.10.
Hope everybody else's challenge is doing well.0 -
Another NSD today (4 out of 5) which is great for me. I'm getting into the swing of things and checking what I can make with what I've got before just going to buy stuff.
It helps that OH is working later so he doesn't feel like going back out to the supermarket in the dark when he gets home through the traffic.
I had my lentil soup for lunch (warm and thick) and he took butties to work, and tea bags, so a NSD for him as wellI divorced my First Husband on Religious Grounds:A

Another NSD for the total for me, I had the day off work and spent it cooking and generally pottering about the house, it was lovely, and the weather is bloody awful so I am glad I did not have to venture out. Back to work tomorrow though and bread rolls out of the freezer in readiness for taking lunch with me. I think I am going to take soup and dip the rolls rather than have meat in them, much more filling and warmer too.
Keep up the good work everyone.Been here for a long time and don't often post

Evening all
NSD 4 for me today, and pretty sure tomorrow will be as well
The graze box food was delicious, and the children and I demolished it all between us as an after dinner snack.
Signing off for the evening now, happy bonfire night everyone0 -
Now on my 3rd NSD, which is relatively easy when you're stuck on a school on the edge of Leeds all day! Have driven nearly 60 miles using motor mate and am considering selling an old virus addled laptop. Has anyone had any success selling a laptop like this for parts or on eBay?Also need to get a few more things on eBay, to add to my 9 items. Everybody else seems to put much more on than me.
Also gonna get the free graze box. Which cash back site is it on? Am tempted to get love film and Netflix too if you get 20 squid cash back.
Can totally empathise with Iwillwin and Kat when you said you look for things you can put back when shopping. Did the same exact thing on Friday when shopping in Mr M's. Had put in a big pkt of crumpets for a quid and some diced turkey and realised I didn't need them. My mum bought the crumpets in the end, after I had discarded them at the till.
Finding all this totally addictive. Love the resourcefulness of it all. Will definitely be continuing this, so defo count me in for January Kat!

Haven't spent a penny since giving in to the kids for candy floss on Friday :j (apart from the £2 on breakfast club this morning but that's budgeted for and without it I wouldn't get to work on time...)
Had a good day in with the kids on Saturday playing games, making up treasure hunts and making meringue ghosts (bit late but who cares). Sunday had a wander round the local market but didn't buy anything. And today I was at work with my tin of beans and bread for toasting for lunch
Going to have to buy milk tomorrow (have left the tiniest bit in the fridge so I can have tea in the morning) so might as well go and get a few more bits at the SM. Am quite enjoying finding things in the freezer to cook for dinners. Tomorrow I am making meatloaf and I might just make rice pudding in the slow cooker which should make my DD happy.
Really enjoying this challenge. Now the kids are back at school I am going to throw myself into selling things.Sealed pot challenge member no 10620 -
A spendy day as planned - £16.54 off my £80 food budget and I have loads of food to see me through another week (and more) so hopefully I'll manage to bank [STRIKE]a little[/STRIKE] a decent amount at the end of the month
gelmc, I have an old laptop that doesn't switch on that I considered selling but al my data is on it - what do you do about that? Also, there seem to be a lot of codes for free graze boxes flying about (mine's JGX5C35D) and I think if you go through topcashback, you get paid to have a free box :j:j My favourite's the Jaffa Cake - it's yumtastic and highly recommended
Feeling proud to have put back a Mint Aero bar at the till...but now I'm wishing I just spent the 57p and bought itas I have a kingsize chocolate craving!
Back on the NSD bandwagon tomorrow....0 -
Now I have a craving for Jaffa Cakes :rotfl:0
