There's no way out now. :rotfl:

Pleased to report that I stayed away from all spending opportunities today. I had a BIT of an epiphany sitting in the queue of traffic, instead of taking a detour to the shops as I generally do on my way home, I MIGHT actually try and avoid the shops completely and do some extra exercise and jobs around the house instead. I'm sure my waistline and cupboards will appreciate it, before we all get loaded up with more food and stuff before Xmas.

going for my forth NSD! wish me luck xxx
    :)Still searching .....:)
  • GOOD MORNING!!!!

You are all locked in, you know it and I kinda think you all like it a little.
Now stop whinging nobodies falling for it.....( key safe in my tummy )..:p

What a wondrous morning it is today!!! Why I hear you ask??? - because it ain't raining for a start. Secondly today is a new day to make money, work out an NSD, plan for the week and plot&scheme for more ways of making your tat look more attractive on eBay. Its just to much to take in sometimes..

I successful completed an overtime shift last night scoring me around £160 I think. On top of this some lovely man might be buying my plasma TV screen for £70 tonight and another lovely lady in Oz might buy an item for £28.50. I live in hope!!! Someone has bid on an item on eBay for £5.50 ( WOWZERS ) so by the end of the week I could be a whole £264 better off!! I am remaining positive on this because I swear it helps...

What exactly have you got planned to make you some money?

It's all well and good saving what you already have but what about making more of what you don't have - fresh clean money!!!

I really hope everyone has made use of the no insertion fee on eBay over the weekend. Although I know this would not have been for everything - its worth getting something up there! Keep looking around your house - magazines are great sellers. I might list all my Times copies from last year but just need to find strong clear bags in order to send them as cheap as possible. I have 52 to sell...
    :T:T:T

So it can't be an NSD for me as !!!!!-cat needs biscuits. Rubbish! But I love the little monster and hate it when she riffles through the bin for empty food sachets when her dish is clearly full. Must be something fun licking the wrapper and getting gravy all over my carpet...( I rent, so she eats in my room - eughh! ). But in wanting to keep all costs down no matter what I will buy a bag big enough to last right into next month with pennies scrapped from my piggy bank.

I have just had semolina for breakfast - with tinned pineapple on top. Both AP purchases and I am determined to eat it all before I buy the norm - porridge oats at Asda for 25p. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I think its a 1kg bag as well and lasts forever.. stops me snacking as well. I do feel the need for some fresh fruit so might take the opportunity for some apples and oranges. Pace myself, 1 of each a day, and buy 'em on special offer... see I am thinking this through...

Right keep us all posted - its great to hear what you are all up to throughout the day!!

    GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!!

    Onwards and Upwards!!!

  • Day 5 and this will be my 4th nsd and 1 spend in budget :) yesterday we went for a walk in the woods with ds and oh did some work for a family member and came home with £50 - very pleased. It wont stretch far tho debts to pay off we need a new gutter, radiators and now oh informs me wants/needs some warm work clothes and im sure i could sort him out with what he already has but i feel a bit guilty cause he earnt the money- told him about this challenge and he still keeps suggesting things to buy or telling me a new game is out he wants or there is a sale here- have to keep reminding him we arent buying this month grrrr god job i have this thread to keep me from caving in. Was going to take ds to a playgroup (free and walking distance) but he is so full of cold so we may just stay in and keep warm. Oh and ive got a personal mini weight lose challenge (helped bu this thread by sticking to meal plans and not spending) and i lost 2lb this week :) hope everyone is well

Hmmm...was sure I posted yesterday evening but can't find it, maybe I forgot to press "post quick reply" (I was sober too!)

Yesterday was NSD#3, only left the house to put out the rubbish and recycling. Lunch was leek n potato soup with some YS hedgehog bread found in the freezer. Gammon roast dinner for tea. Prepped and froze the YS parsnips I'd bought and used up two sorry looking carrots in the fridge and 2 leeks I didn't use in the soup.

Today will also be a NSD as there is only 10p in my purse.

Free swimming session this morning at local pool, brought cereal and milk to work for breakfast.

Leek n potato soup for lunch with a yellow stickered roll I found in the freezer, it'll be ok to dip in my soup.

Sausage meatballs n pasta for tea (gotta use up some of the sausages lurking in the freezer)

ETA: Convinced Hubby to get bck into ebaying yesterday - 2x sets of 1st class and large stamps (£18 worth) from when I did Royal Mail surveys and a SAD lamp I trialled for Bzz a couple of years back. One set of stamps already at £15! A similar lamp went for £155 yesterday so fingers crossed.

Better have 5 NSDs in a row. BF needed to borrow money till he gets paid (why did he need to buy drinks on Fri then, better have none the next three weekends). I also put some more money into my credit card as I thought if it's there I can't spend it and need to make do with what's left and leave enough for the car tax and check up towards the end of the month.

    Happy Monday

P.S. Just back from posting two of my books I sold on Amazon which is bit of a pointless excersise with those postage prices. After fees one made £3 and the other £1.86 but I still had to pay £2.20 each in postage as they were just too thick for a letter so made a profit of 40p, bah. How can people sell books for 1p or less (can't charge more as they are all that low) and still make money or brake even?

Sell them via Amazon Trade-In. You are effectively selling them to Amazon and they are giving you free postage. 22 books got me £43.48. The same goes for FatBrain.co.uk.
