Hi all
Just checking in for my 4th NSD.
Not a lot going on in my world, paid DD school dinners for the month by cheque but its budgeted for. Does anyone else hate cheques?! Should just take the cash out and pay with that, at least then it's instant :-/Nothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!0 -

Good Evening to you all?.. and what are you doing up this late eh?
Its my prerogative before you ask, as mother hen to sign off with a final farewell before the clock strikes midnight...:p
Today was a spend day for me as planned. I am so glad to see everyone on an NSD and those that are spending being so careful. This is excellent..
I spent a whopping great £6.37 and even this nearly killed me. It included essentials but am gutted I forgot milk. I have enough for tea so will have to wait a while before I buy more - am such an eejit. Anyway I was almost ready to buy 82p treats for Dorothy ( the tabby ) then put them back. I had to get myself some fruit as I was starting to feel like a lump of pasta.. so I have two nets of oranges and 4 bananas for work....
Mummy always taught me what you bag yourself works out cheaper... 6 pale sickly tomatoes in a pack for £1 or 6 loose off the vine for £1.09.... oh hang on a minute...lol! Its clearly by the kilo..right?... I like sniffing vines tomatoes so I don't mind. I also got a bag of veg for 30p reduced from £2.75 so was well chuffed..
I did however encounter the first stage of "yellow sticker" fear factor today.. I read a thread about when the supermarkets discount foods, what times, how, and which kind.. there was always something from workers in Tescos / Sainsburies etc who indicated that some customers wind them up something chronic. Now I am super conscious of not being this kind of person who "lurks" around the staff member with the magic gun.... but today they were marking down COOKIES!!!
How does one look casual when it is quite blatantly obvious that its only by the grace of God and that prospect of a criminal record that you have not yet ripped her hand off whilst screaming obscenities along the lines of "Give me the stupid ***insert swear word of choice**** COOKIES......................pleeease".....?
SO I hung around and watched..., people were taking things before she had a chance to put them down, she had a massive guy in a store uniform helping her ( they knew I was coming clearly ) and some were just staring at her... Me on the other hand...looked at apple turnovers...then cupcakes......then a pecan slice... back to the turnovers...swipe ( she didn't see me coming )... walk away...
4 delux fruit, nut and chocolate chips cookies reduced from £2.25 to 23p WERE MINE!!!!! The greedy piglet within was leashed to stop me PILING high my basket. Can you believe people would buy 4 cookies for £2.25. Now you could tell me to bake them.. I ain't got no ingrediants. So this is the best way to give me something to eat at work that makes my day that little bit brighter...:o:o:o
Moving swiftly on....
BrightHope - you are forgiven. You are after all selling whilst you drank so tea ( as far as I am concerned ) is what can only be classed as a necessity.... like toilet paper...lol! What kind of market?
Hello Oodal.. great party then eh?...*snort snort*
VJ2010...walking around markets without buying anything generally means you deserve a medal! Well done on your vigour for selling.. apparently Gumtree is good according to some...
Cranny44 you seem to have a lovely day planned tomorrow evening..Wetherspoons is every NSK's dream...a nice cosy budget meal. GOOD!!
Buffy I can sympathise with how tired you are.. thank you for dropping in though its greats to hear what you are up to... Thursday must have been good..:rotfl:
GelMC...with the laptop its about restoring it to its original status before you used it. Do you have the discs that you got with the laptop handy.. you effectively wipe its memory but you might have to Google how to do this as I am technically still on pencil and paper...:p
To all I have forgotten.. I love you all but if I don't sleep now I will never get up...
I am now aiming for 6 NSD's in a row taking me through until Monday..Good luck to all who will have this crown by the end of tomorrow. Not only will a lengthy NSD stint be celebrated here you need to tell them on the NSD thread. Get your name in lights properly...

Can't join this challenge as this month is likely to be my big spend month for Christmas - can't wait till December or nothing will arrive on time! Also already have a bunch of social invites and as I don't get to see many people I am not going to turn them down. I am subscribing to the thread and wish you all luck in a serious challenge!0

Yesterday was NSD number 5 for me, have updated on the NSD thread.
Today will be my first spend day. I have an exam this morning, quite nervous now, getting butterflies. After that I will be popping into Tesco to do some food shopping, stick petrol in the car, nip into town and to bike shop to put down deposit for kids bikes for christmas:)
Money for month is all put into envelopes and accounted for, so I am good to go.
Hoping for a low ish spend in Tesco but to avoid unnecessary spend days will be buying a weeks milk and bread for freezer. I'm quite enjoying the challenge so far.November NSD's - 70 -
Hi - firstly THANK YOU! You have no idea (or maybe you do) about how relieved I am to come across this site!
This is my first time posting and I already feel motivated to do something about my debt as it has started to take over my life.
I feel paralysed on a daily basis - scared, teary, depressed . . .
I haven't yet plucked up the courage to work everything out, but with the help of this forum I plan to make myself over the next few days.
Even the thought of NSDs fills me with dread so I think I'm going to set myself a target of 10 NSDs for the rest of the month
I feel as if this is a bit feeble - but I think it is something I will be able to manage.
Tonight I will start calculating . . . . ..
I'm determined to do this, and thank every brave, strong person on this site who has inspired me

Good luck with your exam JAMIEDODGER! I hope it goes well for you0

Good Morning EVERYBODY!!
Well what a glorious crisp morning it is! I am going to have fun on the bike thats for sure..
Just a swift check in to say GOOD LUCK WITH TODAY!!!.. For those hitting another NSD ( like me ) LETS DO IT!!!!! and well done and for those who are on a spend day I say "tread carefully" for bargains you can't see, BOGOF's that lurk and treats that prowl are ALL out to get you...
IKnowICan..YOU KNOW YOU CAN!!! The whole idea of this thread is for you to keep a check on what you spend .. and I mean every single penny! The reason I have closed this now to newbies is that there is a strict 25 NSD policy. Its hard but the motivation of everyone together makes for what can only be described as "pack mentality".. and its amazing!
Get a signature set up - through "personal messages" then to the left "edit signature" - put up anything and everything you want! Let us see what you owe and lets see it deplete...
You will win , you can do this.. lurk around, follow the thread, get used to what we do. Then watch out for what I am planning in January!!
GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent.
