SkintSue - whats in the slow cooker today? How is it working for your fooding...?
I'm doing a spaghetti bolognaise with frozen OOP's and slightly worn veg and starting it off in the pan before transferring it to the slow cooker.
Frying a little garlic and some sliced onions, soft red pepper and mushrooms with basic cooking (what other kind is there?)bacon chunks and some mince.
Once it has browned I will chuck it into the slow cooker with a tin of chopped tomatoes (Tesco's basics) some Italian herbs mix and a stock cube.
I'll serve it up with some of the very basic pasta from Tesco and probably use the whole packet.
There should be enough 'bol' to freeze for the three of us for another meal, and I will use the pasta tomorrow for a lunch - Tuna and pasta mix.
Cold pasta, tin of tuna in brine, finely sliced celery stick, spring onion and another softish pepper. Mix with a dollop of mayo, teaspoon of coriander paste and a squirt of sundried tomato puree.
I sometimes use cubes of cheese instead of the tuna and, if there are any still floating around in the fridge, a couple of olives sliced up.
Damn - I'm feeling hungry now, and it's not even time for elevenses.I divorced my First Husband on Religious Grounds:A

Just updated signature to reflect a £4.62 spend at Tesc0.
Have told the kids that their sweetie day is moving from a Sunday to a Friday (so that Sunday is a NSD) and they were really pleased, as it means sweets today!
So i also decided not to have my Friday night bottle of wine (£7), and got some sparkling water (17p) instead, to mix with OJ0 -

I KNEW I saw your name there.. you sound like you are having a superb day. A cup of the amber-nectar, duvet ( heating is off yes? ) and films.. I am completely and utterly jealous!! Do you have a hot-water-cat as well? They are great wrapped round your neck but the purring gets in the way of a good film...:p
Where is the weather if you don't mind me asking? We have Kiwi who is in New Zealand.. are you further..?“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence.
