  • GelMC that sounds promising!!! Really hope a treat is on its way to you!

My eBay shall wait until Sunday evening / night. People are off work then so if I mark it up for 7 days time people are in and can bid..

I have one thing ending soon that has 3 watchers but I am not sure how that will go.. could do with a free insertion weekend!!..

    Evening all!

A NSD here too. Went to B00ts with Hubby, managed to get my mum's xmas pressie free on the 3 for 2 as he bought for 2 of his sisters AND I got the £12 worth of points.

Decided we don't need to go shopping tomorrow, will go on Saturday as it will be a spend day anyway. Need to check what's in the freezer before I do my list.

Well done everyone, we're heading in the right direction x
  • Well today didn't go quite to plan, was going to make veg stew and dumplings but they will have to be for tomorrow instead, had fish and veg from stores instead as forgot christmas cake had to be in the oven for 4 hours doh! also didn't manage a NSD as i had to run out and get greaseproof paper£1.49 for said christmas cake DOH!, any way it looks fab and is cooling whilst i type.

Did however get a nice bunch of flowers today from a supermarket as a apology as their customer service needs a lot of work!

swings and roundabouts, updated my signature for my spends yesterday(comes out of this month's budget) and the greaseproof paper added on! disappointed if i had rememebered it yesterday today would of been a NSD!

  • Oodal I love that your upset over losing an NSD and really appreciate your honesty. For everyone else it's not a competition against each other.. I live you all the same ..tee hee.. So honesty is the best policy as we will all lose an NSD here there it's the thinking before spending that's important!!!

Onwards and upwards chickadees I'm off to snoozeville!..zzzz

Well done on the good start. Also had my first NSD today and won't need to spend tomorrow either. As hubby needed to go out anyway he bought more nappies for the nursery (you don't get a warning, just a note they're out, but I should have stocked up earlier). Tomorrow's tea is in the slow cooker and should last two dinners.

I'm really late- but can I still join. I've been reading this thread for a couple of days but I just needed to get myself organised to write and pledge (I haven't done one of these challenges before so I want to get it right!)

NSD no 1 here today, will go and pledge for 25 (eek, eek)

    My budget is
    £175 (2 adults/2 children)
Am donating my £5 beauty spends to husband- I've got plenty of stuff stashed away I can use up, and he'll need deodorant- I don't want to have to suffer him stinking :rotfl:

£200 for xmas/ birthday spends- both children have their birthdays before xmas so need to budget for rest of presents/ party/ etc

£79 for childrens clubs/dinners/playgroup subs etc

Will use up stores (I stock up through the year as this is an ultra-expensive time of year for us!), keep off the wine and takeaways and hopefully lose a bit of weight too.

As a little personal challenge I'm going to try and make £50 this month from ebay/survey vouchers etc. Have made £11.97 already today from shop and scan and quidco. Am also going to keep an eye on my electricity usage gizmo and try to keep that under £12 /week (I know they're not terribly accurate but it just gives me an idea of whether I'm using my tumble dryer more often than normal!!)

Looks like everyones made a fantastic start- well done everyone :)

    Good morning everyone :)

Kat- hope you enjoyed your snooze.

ZsaZsa- welcome, i am sure Kat will have you numbered soon.

Well done everyone on their NSDs yesterday :)

Today is my official food shopping day, so it wont be a NSD for me. Gutted!!! But on the positive side, the food shop came to much less than it normally would have done. I'll keep a running total in my sig, and will update it this morning.

Will be paying £84 to my car ins this morning too, which is £16 less than i had budgetted for, so i am pleased with that!

I THINK i may be able to get away with not putting any petrol in the car this week...but we'll see.
