I am declaring my first NSD for today, only another 24 to go, I am wondering how many I can get in a row too so unless something urgent crops up, I am not spending a bean on anything else!
Good luck everyone, I hope today was not too difficult for you all.Been here for a long time and don't often post

Well I have been ill which is annoying but it did mean no trips to the shops and I have thus far resisted the online shoppingness.
I have also moved 1000 pounds of my wages to my savings account and paid up my £365 account(304), my virtual savings (288) pot and my 1001 days account (150)
I need to check my other account and have a proper think about a budget re the puppies and the other pets, the car and I dont know what else!
There is no guarantee that money will stay in the savings acc but at least at the moment I am not spending it!!
xxNevertheless she persisted.0 -
Good evening
I had a lovely big sweet and sour for dinner, and am not feeling deprived at all...well, its only day 1, LOL! Lets hear me saying that on day 30!
Already got dinner out of the freezer ready for tomorrow, kedgeree that i made a few weeks ago. We LOVE it, and will be having it with crusty baguette which is also frozen.0 -
NSD number one for me!
£30 diesel put in car but this is correct as budgeted so doesn't count as a "spend day"
Lovely stir-fry for tea, DD wanted to go to Mr T's to buy something for Grandma...sorry Grandma, home made cakes only for tomorrow!
Right I'm off to make a celebratory cup of tea! Ohh how exciting this month will be
xxxNothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!0 -

WOWEE what a day!! Look at you all go!!!
So needless to say at the close of day 1 we have had success.. £4.85 saved by I WILL WIN, money shuffling from Buffy, a very naughty but very yummy dinner from Cranny ( I forgive you), a newbie, so WELCOME to PheonixDragon, fireworks and happy children from Learning2Budget, and searching_me is smiling for a free dinner...:p..
More importantly SO many of you are marking up your first NSD..... I am very proud of you all and personally found this day a breeze.. I out-did myself with my soup which was divine ( about to have some for dinner ) and the bread might be accompanied by some mature cheddar... living the good life that's what I am doing!!!
I have took my bike to the Doctor.. this cost £137 of the £180 budget I had set aside... this is good. Although the rest will go out in a week for something else - wish they could just do it all at once...
I was surprised with a "lunch" I have to attend for a colleague tomorrow and am wondering how I will get out of it. I believe we might be at a pub ( like last week ) so will eat before I go and just have 1 drink out of my Bonfire night budget from this coming Saturday. Its amazing how long I can nurse a pint of lemonade.... I am very annoyed but there are only 4 girls in my "team" and my presence will most definitely be noticed as the entire office is clearing out.. am gutted, how horrid is that. A lovely girl is leaving and I am only thinking of my NSD count...GRRRRRRRRRRRR!..
Any ideas on this one??? I left today to the sound of "don't worry about bringing your lunch tomorrow Oh Great One:p".....so they will notice if I gobble down a pint of lentil stew and a door-stop lump of bread slathered in butter...
Anyway apart from that I am in a very good mood and I have my budget in my pocket...
Onwards and Upwards chickadees...great seeing these posts on here...“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. 1st NSD today!! I took frozen corned beef and potato mix out of the freezer for a pie this morning - went to make the pastry for it and discovered that I had very little plain flour left....made it with a combo of plain flour, sf flour and spelt flour! Went down a treat with the family and dh will take the remainder to work for lunch tomorrow.....I had jacket potato with the remainder of a bag of salad leaves, half a pot of sweet chilli hommous that was in the fridge and some leftover salsa
I know its only day one but have managed to stop dh from going to the shops today too!!
I am going to have to get petrol tomorrow so it will be a spend day....will get the wine for the two saturday 'do's' while I am at the supermarket which will prevent me from having to do it another day and risk it turning into another spend day!!
Only dh and me for dinner tomorrow so will make a pasta sauce from some chick peas from the freezer, baby tomatoes, onion, garlic from the fridge and herbs from the storecupboard (previously known as my spare room!) and serve with the whoopsied lettuce I got earlier in the week ....I'm on a roll!!:rotfl:Mortgage 12.12.12 £55842 12.12.13 £42716 14.12.14 £28837 13.12.15 £25913
