Morning all.
Porridge for breafast to use up some milk. I have no idea why Hubby always insists on buying 2 pints a week when we both drink black coffee. He always has the intention of cereal for breakfast then complains it's too cold for cereal in winter.
Home made pie for tea using up a mince mixture I found in back of freezer. Think it was made for shepherds pie but I had no spuds in at the time so just froze the meat.
Off to B00ts tonight as they're doing £12 worth of points if you spend £50 in their Christmas spectacular thingy. Hubby is buying some gifts so he's paying but I'll get the points on my card :T
Good luck everyone xxx0 -
Morning all
I've just been updating my Diary and thought of something that might make your NOvenber a little more entertaining if you haven't done it already
I've been holding off on the topcashback free trails( and cashback!) for netflix, NOWtv and love film, i thought that we would benefit more from these trails over the wintery months
i'll be signing up for each one over the next couple of months to make the most of them while hibernating indoors!
So if you haven't used your free trails up already, NOvember might be a good month to grab this freebie entertainment :TSPC ~ 6 ~ MEMBER 18730 -
Woohoo, let NOvember commence. Strangely excited about it:T:T:T
Had a good start, bought the last big christmas presents yesterday, so don't have to worry about them and only need small things in December.
Only had two cigs on Sun, Mon and Tue and I am smokefree as of yesterday and feel great about it (and feel like I can do it this time) .:j:j:j
Going out for a free lunch today and tea will be bangers and mash.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
Well done thriftylass, quitting smoking was the best thing i have ever done for my health, and i feel loads better for it0

Morning fellow NOvember'ers (is that a word?)
Started the day off well, it was really foggy on the way in, I live in rural Northumberland and work in Newcastle so took my time, it was surprising how many cars did not have their lights on...
I plan on a NSD today as I have brought in some lunch and tea will be from the freezer, although I have forgotten totake something out, let's hope my mum remembers or it might be a bit of a mixed tea with easy to defrost items, which usually means we all have something different to use up the leftovers.
Cigarettes are going to be reduced today, i normally get through about 20 so will try to reduce this to 15 today and then more tomorrow and the day after. Good luck to those that partake of the awful habit, I went onto roll ups recently and cut the amount I was spending by £100 a month, so any saving on this will be a bonus I think.
Great to see so many people being positive, we may need to keep our spirits up during the month so from this point on I will pledge not to moan. (it is my favourite thing to do so another sacrifice all for the greater good)Been here for a long time and don't often post

Well done reducing the amount you smoke. That definitely worked for me rather than going cold turkey. That way I didn't beat myself up if I still had a few and towards the end (when I was down to two or three) I thought why bother. I'm not over the worst yet as there are many tests to come but I'll try to stay off them now. Good luck
P.S. patches or e-cigs never worked for me, if I wanted to keep smoking I did anyway, just had to wait till my mind was readyDEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
Thanks Thrifty, I am deliberately not saying I am going to quit as I know I maight not do it, so reducing is the way I feel more in control. Also I set myself targets like I won't have one until 10.30, then when that gets here I say I will get to 10.45, then stretch it, sometimes I go for hours, but then again other times I chain smoke three in half an hour ha ha

You seem to well organized - how could I say no. You have been marked and you are numbered. Please head to the NSD thread and pledge 25.“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent".0
