Pixiehouse - I used to work on a foster care decision panel. Trust me I can just about grasp what you are having to deal with. Thank you for lurking and cheering though. NOvember is finally here!!
So today I have paid postage for me ebay item, but this isn't getting classed as a spend as it is coming out of the money the buyer paid... so technically not me spending and it has already been accounted for
HELP NEEDED though... I have completely ran out of mascara - the one cosmetic I don't have multiples of. Anyone any ideas of where I can maybe pick up a freebie or even a sample? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. A girl can't go without her mascara
Good luck everyone!!

Hi Candy.
if you have a boots or department store near you, i have heard of people getting free samples from them.
Just say you are interested in buying a mascara, but have sensitive eyes or something, and need to test some out before buying.
Never done it myself, as i dont have any shops like that near me, but may be worth a try0 -

Now its official...a few more bits-
I have cut my grocery budget to £130 as required
I am going to smoke what I have left and then go cold turkey  I have probably enough to get me to tomorrow evening and then I will buy no more (have quit twice this year, but then restartedbut will not do that again, regardless of how bored I get!!)
I have got a bit of vodka in the house, and a couple of events (one this saturday and one the following saturday) but will not buy anymore alcohol other than for those preplanned and prebudgeted events and when I buy the wine for them, I will buy stuff that will be cheaper than I have budgeted for!
I do have 'specialised' ingredients because I am vegan - but I will use up what I have and not buy anymore throughout the challenge - I have job lots of dried pulses and will batch cook them this weekend and then fill my freezer with them so that I have easy bases for my meals
I will allocate £200 for petrol as I have to drive about a 45-50 mile round trip to work every day so cannot cut this down any furtherI also cover a very large area with my job and can be anywhere from Essex to Derbyshire at very short notice (hours generally) so will not be counting the days that I have to fill up with petrol for that as spend days (hope no-one minds, but it would be impossble to keep to any sort of target with that!) However, personal petrol spend days I will count
and incorporate into my 'allowed' spend days....

Glad you have cancelled those magazines..Read the Daily Mail online.. all the Schleb goss you could wish for to keep you amused and then some...
You are seriously on the ball!!!
Roll on tomorrow indeed!!!
Thanks for the encouragement.
No I didn't tell anyone about the challenge - just someone I know was getting a bigger new one, and knew I liked the idea of making my own bread.
I've not really told anyone about the challenge (maybe I should and do them a favour and help them save money).
I've not even told hubby as I'm interested in seeing how long it will take him to notice the snacks etc are slowly vanishing.
I've had a good start already today - I've sold 2 jewellery sets for £30 in total ( 1% on the other post to get £3000 for remodelling the kitchen to cope with post stroke problems).
I've also been offered a continuous supply of bits of broken wood for the multi fuel burner. This will help in reducing the gas bill for the central heating, and ordering some in.
Every little helps:TI divorced my First Husband on Religious Grounds:A
