Good Evening to you all!..
Searching.. I need to talk to you first due to you last comments. We are all bound to feel low during this kind of challenge. But you have to go easy on yourself for the sheer fact you have never done something like this before... and more importantly £7 in the grand scheme of things is not massive. It's all going to add up it just means next time you can attempt to remedy things without spending money - however, I do not have children. I can only imagine what it might be like being very upset, wanting to make a good impression on a little one and not let them assume that anything might be wrong between you and OH.. so a coffee and some "keep-quiet" food is probably a little better for you both than an NSD...:o
So... I see many of you have managed to score some seriously amazing NSD action! I am such a proud Mamma Puss! The weather is beating down outside and I luuurve being inside with water-bottle-cat, a real water bottle, out of date AP popcorn and a free lovefilm DVD! :rotfl:..nothing quite like Final Destination to lift the spirits..
My wee Irish friend MountainMum sent me a parcel the other day...samples from her Bzzagent John Frieda box..No.7 samples, a nail file ( I have been desperate for one ) and cuticle cream, 3 x £1.50 vouchers off John Frieda products, and Palmers Ccoco butter freebies...I am currently onto free samples of foundation found in the latest Glamour magazine which a lady at work gave me cause she bought three to get the free nail varnishes...:T:T:T..Its like the Almighty has realised that I don't want to spend anything and ran out of foundation two weeks ago.... VERY happy me!
Mummy also sent me a care package....ahem...porridge oats, pecans, chocolate digestives, pumpkin seeds, Lidls chocolates with nuts, individually packed digestives for lunches, sunflower seeds, a packet of tissues to carry with me..a roll of mints cause I am obsessed with them and wheatgerm ( very potent source of vitamin e ) to sprinkle on my porridge!! I LOVE getting packages from my Mum!!!
I truly feel I am being looked after!!..:T:T:T
I shall update my spend budget though as I did spend money yesterday to add to a meal today and some essentials...milk, salady bits as I felt I was lacking in nutrients somewhat..
Anyone else as excited as I am at the thought of filling their cupboards again with "Proper" food, well planned and nutritious...It seems this has been the main focus of my existence for the last 4 weeks...:rotfl:
However as much as you all have said that this has kept you in check and allowed you to think more about what you are spending this has REALLY helped me focus! I keep thinking that if I expect YOU to do this in any shape of form I HAVE To make sure everything I do is better, stronger and ensure I have more NSD's...
I have been SO ruthless with myself when I thought I technically should buy something cause I am about to collapse I don't, I walk for miles around London getting "check-ins" on Quidco for pennies and drink my cold slightly honorific tasting tea from a flask instead of walking into one of the many many many many many tea shops in London....only when you "don't" want something do they appear in front of you in multitudes.. like buses and men! LOL!
I have a few eBay items ending tomorrow. I am aware its free insertions unless something sells... so I am back on it tomrrow with selling bits!
I think its very important that when we are money saving that we do not get bored.. when we get bored complacency drops by and complacency breeds complacency. This is when spending returns and we don't pay as much attention!
So we shall shake things up a bit for December Debt Destruction. There you go - that's the name to keep your eyes peeled for.. this is were it's at for December so get ready to ROLL!!!

thank you polly and ninja ... its been a tough day but me and OH made it up and watched the new peter kay dvd (download) together and had my bottle of wine i didnt have from my girlie night .... i feel better i do my best but i know myself as daft as it sounds i have to punish myself to keep myself in check ... im feeling better and tomorrow is making and baking day with my kids and i'll be back on board today is just one of those days...

Been waiting with growing anticipation for this, nice bit of alliteration in the title of our new challenge, Kat.
Had a spend day today as needed to put diesel in the car plus buy some fruit/beg to prevent the onset of scurvy.
Finally got round to watching 'the skin I live in' tonight, courtesy of Lovefilm. What a twist! Did anyone answer when Kat asked about the appropriate time to cancel the subscription?
Gotta do my mystery shop assignment tomorrow, plus quite a lot of school work. Also got an email today about poss doing some market research on women's premium clothing for £70 - so hoping I get selected for that one. Cross everything for me.
The cat is now in from running aimlessly around the rain soddened street, and is purring contentedly beside me on the bed. This is after putting her muddy paw prints on my nice pale gold coloured paisley bed linen instead of keeping to the brown throw covering most of the bed. Still love her.0 -
No one answered me on the one about the subscription. I think I might end it on Monday as my month ends on the Saturday and I really don't want to be charged... I have another £6.66 bringing it up to about £21 when its released hopefully!!!“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Yes my final total is 20 as i am flying off to the sun tomorrow
Although not the full 25 required i am pretty chuffed with myself, i have been much more thoughtful before buying things and this can only be a good thing.
I am over my final shopping total by quite abit but £120 was always very ambitious for me considering what we normally spend in a month, so final total - which includes some xmas stuff and a large stock of mouthwashwhich was on offer and is usually full price when i run out so stocked up for 6 months.
Final total £222.13
I would just like to say a HUGE thank you to all of you for the support this month and a bigto NSK
for starting this thread which i think could run for some time. :T
I will be joining in the December Debt Destruction on my return on 4 Dec. So make sure i am signed up NSK - i have 5 meals out  next month but hopefully 2 i dont have to pay for and 2 are just lunches not prebooked so can have a cheapie off the normal menu at wetherspoons and another i am considering just having a diet coke at. We will still be emptying the freezer and cupboards as still loads in there and i have £50 in Tesco vouchers so food shop should be much better next month too as dinner
at sister in laws so just having a buffet on xmas eve with the 3 kids, granddaughter and daughters boyfriend so prob home made pizzas.
Keep up the good work everyone and congratulations on whatever you managed to achieve this month
Its been a learning curve and i hope to improve month on month now.
Cheering you on to the end

Hi everyone...
After the hellish month I've had, and with the end in sight - I decided to use my last spend day up last night. I'd cancelled the social engagement I was meant to have had as didn't feel up to it - but felt justified on a bit of TLC - so used the money I'd put aside for that and had a nice evening in. Confession!!! I did buy a take away (but I would have gone for a meal out in my defense!!!) and used my last bottle of cider and had some <cough cough> M&Ms... it was my way of being kind to myself... I'm a BAD BAD man!!!
End of week spend £19.72/£20.00
Total Grocery spend £32.92 /£80.00
Still on NSD number 19 as of yesterday.
Aiming for all NSD's from here out to reach my target of 25.
December Debt Destruction huh?... I can't wait! Sounds awesome!!!

Additional: Today makes NSD number 20!!!
