I've been Money Tipped! Debt-free and Proud!
    Good morning :)
Yet another wet and windy day down here..wish this rain would stop just for a day or 2.
Tomorrow is 'The Early Christmas Get Together' that i am having with my family. I was tempted to buy a new dress and shoes for it, but being SENSIBLE- its only 1 evening, and i have stuff i can wear! Ii have a dress, and i have shoes. SO NO SPENDING FOR ME!

I have to say that i am REALLY finding it tough not to spend at the moment. Whether its on clothes, shoes, food, household stuff, or general carp, the urge is constantly there. Its almost become a game that i am playing with myself..but the bonus is that i KNOW i will win, and i wont spend any money.

I hope you all have a good day :)

Morning everyone  I've been so busy in the last few days that I've not had any steam left to construct a sentence or two, but I have been reading all your updates. Well done everyone!

Yesterday was spend day 4 for me - I have washing up liquid!!!!! I did a quick 10 to 4 mad dash round the supermarket before it shut (and avoided the near punch up in the yellow sticker corner - strawberries were 10p a punnet and causing quite a stir!). I had my trusted shopping list with me so 10 minutes was enough. I decided to get a bit of fruit (I eat loads of veggies but not a lot of fruit) to kick start a healthier December (I'm 4lbs heavier than I was at the start of NOvember ). I think a challenge for me would be to get a better balance of low cost/healthy next month. Anyway, studying my receipt at home (and getting a 94p Price Guarantee voucher in the process :)) I discovered that 2 apples cost £1.42 :eek: Really??? If I'd seen this at the time, and not been packing my bags, I'd have put them back. Really, apples cost 71p each at the supermarket??? On the price comparison, the other supermarkets were the same so it seems apples are expensive. I could have had 3 chocolate bars for £1 - again, bringing me back to your point kat about supermarkets (and food manufacturers) being the enemy. Low cost white bread, tins of processed mush on offer, cheap chocolate at the checkout - 71p for an apple! Anyway, back on topic, my total supermarket spend for the month is £38.23 :D

I have one more spend day left which I may or may not use. I don't need food but I do need boots (holey trainers are no good in the rain!!). They're budgeted for so if I get them I'm not denting any budget. May get them later this week or may wait til next week (I'm quite lucky cos I hate shopping!!)...maybe I'll wait to read the DDD rules first!

Another spend day (hangs head in shame) but I desperately needed cat litter as one refuses to go out when the weather's really bad. Also picked a couple of bottles for sis and BIL for xmas so that's all the main people bought for now.
Also picked up some toiletries which I needed.

Another NSD planned for today. So far so good!
I've not left the house, I've made some calls, sent some e-mails, and have to send one big one with scanned attatchments, so I'm going to do that tonight when OH is home to supervise (I'm a Luddite with technology).

I have a bit of a moral dilemma that I'd like some guidance on from you NSD experts - please.

I've got quite a good stock of gifts I have been given over the years (Smellies, Scarf and Glove sets, Unopened DVDs, booze) etc, which will be used - some day.
Should I regift these this year? I'm making everyone a gift of some kind as a token, and will have to get something for a few, but feel a bit of a fraud.
In the past I'd be slightly mad (not on CC) and used hamper style vouchers or PO Christmas Club to fund it, but this time I've not been able to, so Christmas Dinner, normal shop and gifts will all have to come out of the next 3 weeks of DLA and IB.
    That is a challenge!!
Repeat 100 times to self "I can do this, I CAN do this!"

He thought He was God. I didn't!;)
  • Anyone else excited about payday coming up ( or just passed ) cause you can throw more money at your debts..? I am literally willing the week away! I am not sure how much I will be taking home either..I have guestimated on the low end and really hope I scrape in at around this or a little over....

Hummmmph only 4 more days to go!!
