Well a very good evening to you all.. I am going to make this short and answer a few funnies that I have just read...
I am technically supposed to be in bed by now and snoozing following a horrendous week at work and many late nights.. but here I am still up and pottering about.. Wannabe I know your pain...
I am a real Ninja and I am watching you all!!:rotfl:..( ..from a Suzuki Bandit 650cc though..:p)...
Thrifty I would find it hard if my OH wasn't on board with this and was a spender.. I cannot express how happy I am for you both tackling this together!! You played it right though, I would not have pushed it to much as he may have backed away even more.. let him see the difference in you and take it from there. SO really, and truly well done. The whole idea is to change our mindsets, be very careful about what we spend and be AWARE of the temptations around us....
Speaking of temptations... His Missus..if you are well prepped perhaps a sell on ebay for penance and NSD's all the way through to the end now..?
Everyone is doing so well. When I get tough, and use capitals its "encouragement" not a scolding. I like the fact some of you may feel the need to confess.. but this helps when we write it down for others and realize it was frivolous, unnecessary and wasteful.... we live and we learn! ( I am not pointing fingers, I bought a totally brilliant magazine the other day for £6.99 that was NOT needed )...Grr!!
December rules will be printed in good time. I might push it to Tuesday now so I am not running three threads at once which will be hard. I still need this to be fun for moi..:p:p:p
I am tweaking a few things.. you'l have to wait and see!
Right now...its bed time!
Onwards and Upwards..7 NSD's in a row for me. I have milk and I have tea-bags......
..now BRING IT ON!!!“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent".0 -

Ok so I am currently on NSD number 20, today will be a spend day but should be the last one of the month meaning I will hit my target of 25 NSDs woo!
I've also applied for overtime and longer shifts in work, if these get approved this will be a nice little bonus in the 'debt repayments' pot just before Christmas. Would love to be able to clear one of e overdrafts before Christmas, going into the new year with one less debt

Been playing around with budget this morning and trying to find ways to stretch the budget a little further. Been reading the store cupboard thread about building stock for emergencies and it sounds like a good idea.
Children really want to go and see the new Nativity film, so if I have enough saved in happy cash tin by the end of November, I may take them to see it first week of December that together with going to see Cinderella at local theatre will be their treats for December.November NSD's - 70 -

Well there I was typing out a long and rambling reply when the whole blimming internet decided to switch itself off!
Anyway, I was saying that I've hopefully had my last spend day of November. In a fantastic turn of luck, the blokes at the garage could find nothing wrong with the car and because I'm such a regular there, they didn't even charge me for it - phew. So whilst my boys are at football, dd and I went to do the last grocery shop of November at Mr S. I normally go to AldI but this week I really fancied a trip around my favourite. Anyway, I spent £66.80, which I think takes my november grocery budget to £165 ish. I'll check properly and update my siggy. I don't think we'll need anything else before next weekend - all stocked up again.
Now I just need to get my head round the stupid planning system they now want me to use at work. A job I used to be able to do in about 15 mins is now taking me upwards of an hour at a time. So much for working smarter.
Hope everyone is ok.Ninja Saving Turtle0 -
