  • Hi

I closed my HSBC account in 2004.

I have the address of the branch with which I had my account.

Would it be right to send my letter to get my statements under the FOI act to this address or would I need to send it to a head office address?

If I need to send it to a HSBC head office address, could anyone let me know what this is?

    Thanks in advance.

  • I am sorting out my son's claim to get back his bank charges and am having a "senior moment". He banks with Abbey. Do we send the letter to his local branch or a Head Office address, and if it is Head Office, does anyone know what that is please?

    Thanks from

  • thanks, a11waysindebt. that is the address I wrote to to get the information on the charges he has paid, where we don't have the statements. Do I send the actual claim to the same address?

Also I have a couple of other questions. He has 4 accounts with Abbey (don't ask), all have charges, all overdrawn but not currently being used as we now have him an account at another bank. 2 of the accounts we have details of all the charges, one account has been handed over to a debt collecting agency and the bank says it no longer has the details so can't give us the information about the charges, the 4th one I wrote to the Data Protection Team, sending the £10, to get the details of the charges and we are waiting for their reply. I did not realise that I could have listed all 4 accounts and asked for the info on them all for the one fee.

Anyway, my questions, how do I get the details of the charges for the account Abbey say is not on their system anymore?

And do I send in the claim (and to where) for the 2 accounts that we have the info for now or do I wait until I have the info for all 4?

    Thanks.

    I would say yes.

Abbey should have the details on their system, how old is this debt is it over 6 years.More info here http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/bank-charges

If all these claims are with abbey you should send them to the abbey address in the link.

    Hope this helps.
  • Hello,

Sorry if I'm being daft, but I did do a search :(

Does anyone have the address for Barclaycard? They have charged me £12 for a late payment, yet I paid my card a day before the due date in cash in a Barclay branch

Needless to say I want to complain and get it back.

    Thanks in advance.
