No I meant you're local branch will forward it on to the main department that will deal with it, unless of course the manager takes a look at it and decides to pay you all your charges back etc, but I think we all know that's not likely to happen. All the banks have internal mail that is collected at night and sent on to all the different departments, like loans, mortgage paperwork etc etc.
Either that or pop in to your local branch and ask them for an address.
Thanks to all the competition posters.
  • For the initial request for your information/statements under the Data Protection Act please use the the address given in the first post of the Reclaim Help Thread, this is linked in my signature.

For your first letter asking for your charges back use either your local branch or your bank's Head Office. Make sure this letter is sent registered/special delivery or if handed into your local branch ask someone to sign and date a receipt for your letter.

Many of the banks have now set up special departments for dealing with claims so subsequently if you receive a letter from the bank then use that address for future correspondence.

When it comes to filling in MCOL or your court forms you should use the banks registered address which is in post 3 of the Reclaim Help Thread.

However if you are using MCOL you have to use an address in England or Wales for your bank and if the registered address is in Scotland such as the Royal Bank of Scotland then use your local branch address if this is in England or one of the main London addresses.

As regards store cards and catalogue companies if you don't have a statement giving an address usually if you Google you will find an address for the company.

  • I have two credit cards I want to try and reclaim for

However I have no idea where to send the letter/statement request for them as they are not included on the list

One of them simply has "Aqua" across it.
The other has "solutionfinance" at the top and abound in the bottom right hand corner. (On the back it says property of Barclays Bank Plc???

    Please help

    Thanks

Their registered addresses will be in very small print somewhere on the statements.

    Aqua Card Services
    Customer Relations
    Trinity Road
    Halifax
    West Yorkshire
    HX1 2RG
  • Since posting I called the two cards (didn't use 0870 numbers haha)

Aqua gave me the following address

    Aqua card services
    Pitreavie Business Park
    Dunfermaline
    Fife
    KY99

Solution finance gave me the following

    Solution Finance Customer Services
    PO BOX 6476
    Northampton
    NN4 1ZN

The article on here is more focussed towards bank charges, there isn't a list per se for credit cards etc. I.e where to request statements from and who to write to when you have worked out charge amounts????

Please help if you can, as they must owe £££'s if not ££££'s on these

Changed title to ask if when writing the first letter to ask for the bank charges back do you send to your local branch or head office?

    Head office,
you will find the address in your statements.
