If you send it to your local branch it will then be sent to the Head office, if you want addresses then go the first post of this thread, that contains a link to another thread which will in alphabetical order list all the Banks / Credit Card companies main addresses.
Please read ALL of the Main Threads which you'll need. For Example if you bank with the HALIFAX then go to the thread entitled HALIFAX, if your credit card is CAPITAL ONE then go to the thread with that name and so forth.
All the questions your thinking and even some that you haven't should appear in that thread, we're all over the place with our claims, some have got charges back and some are at the start but we all place the information you need in those threads. So please spend some time looking in them.
good luck with your claims."I AM THE GATEKEEPER OF MY OWN DESTINY" Nacho Libre

Halifax plc, Customer Relations, PO Box 548, Leeds LS1 1WU
i sent my letter to halifax to the above address, would this be correct?
If you know the amount of charges your due, then I think yes to that questions. If your after the statements to see how many charges you've had then you can either send it their or your local branch, either way it will end up in Customer Relations.
Remember to send ALL Letters by Recorded post or at least Signed For so you can track to see when it arrived at the destination and argue your piont if they tr an blag you that they haven't received it."I AM THE GATEKEEPER OF MY OWN DESTINY" Nacho Libre

I noticed your going to claim for charges prior to 2000, is that an amount of money or the year. And if the year can you claim prior to it as I thought there was a 6 year rule something to do with the limitains act???"I AM THE GATEKEEPER OF MY OWN DESTINY" Nacho Libre

I have tried this address twice for my first letter to get mt statements:
Mr Alex Lyons
Data Protection Manager
Retail Regulatory Risk
2nd Floor
Business House B
Gogarburn
P.O.Box 1000
Edinburgh
EH12 1HQ
which i found on this website under the Reclaim Bank Charges Help Thread,
each time i have had no reply only a letter from post office saying no such address.
I have looked the address up and there is no such place as Gogarburn and the postcode seems to be wrong.
can anybody help please
Hi
This is exactly the same address as I used to claim my statements and I recieved them roughly two weeks later, although there was a delay because they said I needed to send a cheque for £5 made payable to Natwest. (I had sent a cheque for £10!) I sent them a new cheque for £5 and asked for the £10 back which I haven't received, but I did get my statements.
All in all, that address must be right.
Question for anybody: I'm now about to send in my claim, I no longer live in the county where my branch office is, so do I send my claim to my sort coded branch, my now local branch or is the head office a safer bet?
PS I have also found this address for claiming statements from data protection
Retail Regulatory Risk
2nd Floor
Cornerstone
60 South Gyle Crescent

And looking back in my file, this is the address given in their reply. The early bird gets the worm, the second mouse gets the cheese!

Im new to this site and would be grateful for any replies to the following question.
After watching GMTV yesterday and saw the article about reclaiming your bank charges, I took the first step and wrote to my bank. I previously had a standard account with The Bank of Scotland which I have requested the statements for. I included my £10 cheque, but I also have and use a current account with them. Should I write to them again and include another £10 for my statements for the current account?
I have 3 accounts with one bank and asked for all statements and only gave them £10, which they cashed. Other friends with other banks have had their cheques returned. Ask for the other account statements, don't give them any more money unless they ask for it!0 -

On the thread for addresses Natwests address seems to have changed. However, it says changed on 15/05/2007 (obviously this is not happened yet) My boyfirled has sent two letters to Natwest requsting the charges be returned and he is just about to take them to court as he has received nothing. The problem is that when we try to claim online it will not acknowledge a scottish address. Can anyone tell me where he needs to claim on-line? Anyone had success with Natwest, he is claiming £900.00.
Thanks
