Just a caveat to what Smasher is saying. There have been no cases heard before the court. Smasher may be right in saying that there are plenty of settlements but no judgments.0

You can reclaim all £12 charges for late payment & overlimit. Check your credit file and see if they have put any adverse data on there as a result of late payment/overlimit. You can insist that they remove them completely as part of your claim. So far every claim of this type has been successful, including my own.
Hi,
About 3-4 years ago when I was a student I had a CC with Natwest as I was comming to the end of my credit limit they started to charge me £12 for overlimit fee and £12 for late payment fee as i kept missing payments on a regular basis which was not good from my part but I was in abit of a financial difficulty back then . However I've settled my debt with them but they have put a default notice on my credit file. which is affecting my rating. can i do anything about this. ?Bank charges Reclaim:
Capital one (c/c) = Won - £687.00: 8/2008
Cahoot C/A = £1300 pending until court case:rolleyes:
Natwest (C/C) = Caliming £276 = won £276 Feb 09
Baclaycard = Not Started-Cahoot (c/c) PPI Won £5200 -

Yes you can. Either do as I suggested above, make your claim & make the default removal a part of the claim or see also this article about getting a default notice removed. It has been hugely successful so far.

looks hugely spurious to me!0 -
I've just sent off my first letters and copy statements to Barclaycard requesting repayment of my charges and additional interest totallying £372.
Both my Barclaycard and Barclays account are no longer in use and I am paying off the card and my overdraft on the account with Payplan, does anyone know if I can request my repayments back in a cheque or whether Barclaycard will pay this off the existing balance of the card?
Thanks

That's what I thought, has anyone else had any luck in requesting the refund by way of a cheque rather than straight into their account.
I could do with using this money for some rather urgent home improvements!0 -

No. Through your own !!!!less money managing, you paid late and quite rightly got a late payment on your credit file. There is nothing to change because its not wrong.0 -

Absolutely. And that website that Smasher refers to is not to be endorsed at all. Basically, it is promoting dishonest activity.0
