Hey everyone,
Sent off my letter asking for my charges back (£920 in total)- and today i checked my balance over the phone. They've put £300- which i'm assuming is the difference between £20 and £12- back into my account after just 3 days!!!!
I want to accept as a part payment as I would rather like the other £620! Is there a standard letter I need to use of do I just add a line to the normal 2nd letter? What should I say to them?
Any help would be great! Cheers.Debt Total Oct 2007 £19,750

Hello everyone. This is my first post. I've been following Martins advice on reclaiming my charges. The first one I'm tackling is my Barclaycard credit card. I paid the £10 and have just got my statements back.
Moorcroft have been dealing with this debt. On January 07's statement it shows my balance at £0. It's more like £1500. Could this be because Moorcroft have brought the debt?
The charges amount to just over £300.
Thanks for looking,

Amount claimed £558.21, this includes interest calculated as at 23rd May 2007.
Letter received from Barclaycard 30th May offering a goodwill payment of £202.
I wrote back on 14th June and advised that I would accept the £202 as part payment without prejudice but would continue my claim for the full amount of £558.21.
They are still refusing to settle the full amount so I am now going to start court proceedings.
However I do not know how to calculate the interest as they credited £202 to my Barclaycard account on 30th May so I need to deduct this from the final amount to be claimed and also the interest originally calculated was as at 23rd May so I presumably need to calculate the interest as at the date I submit the claim.
Can anyone help please.

hI.
Personally, I wrote back refusing the payment as I had not accepted it, and they took the money back, they settled in full beofre the court case.
If you do want to accept, just write nback saying that you accpet the money without prejudice, but you will be continuing with the claim for the remainder + interest and court fees.
Good luckxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Thanks for that!
Just recieved a letter from Barclaycard saying they have reviewed my account and after 3 years of having my account they've suddenly decided to reduce my credit limit by £90.
Coincidence? No.
