    I'm in the same boat and it put me off claiming until now. I will get back to you with the results as soon as I hear anything

    Nat west did not ask for overdraft repayment although I was prepared for this .Philosophicaly if you claim you will be at leat to pay some if not all debt. . I believe they are entitled to offset your de bt So even if the amount is only part of your ovedraft then you will still be less in debt .
    IE if you are owed £2000 and your OD is £ 3000 then I do not think they can demand the £ 1000 up front other than an offer by yourself to reduce the OD on a mothly rate But nat west did not demand this of me.

    is the PRCH (Purchase) a credit or debit to your account? looks like a transaction for £2939.08 but I guess you'd know if you'd spent that much in one place! :o Why not ring them and ask what t is?
    Got It & Spent It :dance:

    MARBLES = £450 charges = £370 received (82%)
    I.F. = £494 charges = £494 received (100%)

    i started a claim against bcard about 6 weeks ago,got statements without too much hassle.my charges came to just over 300quid over the 6 years,bcard sent a letter to me offering the difference between the old £20 charge and the £12 currently charged.£90 total.
    if i send off the 2nd letter threatening court,what is the likelyhood of it going that far?or will they make a second offer...don't really want to go to court!also,opened this months statement on friday and they have already credited the £90 to my balance...will this affect my claim?
    much thanks in advance!!

    I sent a Postal Order and DPA letter over 2 weeks ago by recorded delivery, but the royalmail 'track & trace' has no record of it. The address I used was a PO Box number in Muswell Hill, so I wondered how these deliveries are acknowledged. Should I be worried?

    Its a long shot but as you paid by postal order, if you have the counterfoil it can be traced and you can get proof then if its been cashed.
    Good luck x

    They wont make a 2nd offer, they tend to make you go through court action, Im at the stage of a court hearing this week, good luck

    I would ring up and check as at the worst it looks like theres been a purchase on your card, maybe someone has purchased currency / traveler checks and the £20.00 could be a service charge.

    Either the card had been stolen or cloned and you not realise, I would get this looked in2 at the earliest possible moment.

    The best is its a mishap.

    Good luck

    amazing news Barclaycard has settled out of court, thou they cut it fine we were due to go on Thursday.

    I had to ring them up and ask about interest as they only offered my charges (£335) plus my court fees (£50), after the call, they have agreed to add the interest on £95.00,

    I couldnt of done this without the help and support from everybody on this site, as my other claims I accpeted the first offer, but with Barclaycard I held out forthe full lot.

    There letter says its without prejudice etc etc, they dont agree with my defence, but to save court etc theyre settling.

    SO TO EVERYBODY ONE THINKG I WOULD SAY IS PLEASE DONT ACCEPT THE FIRST OFFER FIGHT TO THE END EVEN IF YOU HAVE TO START COUT PROCEEDINGS, THEY SETTLED WITH ME AND BY READING THIS FORUM IM NOT THE ONLY ONE

    Good luck to one and all xxx:T :money: (a massive thank you to Martin)
