You can claim on a Barclaycard but certainly not the easiest company to deal with.

You lucky (organised!) thing, getting the info out of Barclaycard is the hardest stage - they are very obstructive.
Good luck with your claim, and keep us updated.

I've done exactly this with all 4 of the institutions I'm pursuing.
Everyone always laughs at the fact that I keep every statement for every account I've ever had, I think I may just have the last laugh now!!Working through my debts one company at a time0 -

I have to since I'm technically self-employed, but yeah, it seems a good way of avoiding the 40 day wait! And the 'will-they-or-won't-they-reply' hanging around!
I'm away from home till the weekend, but hopefully it'll be easy enough to spot the charges and add everything up.
Thanks debt_free_soon0 -
Well, Barclaycard have had their 40 days and still no information - even after sending me a letter saying that I would be getting it within the timescale.
I sent off my complaint to the Information Commissioner yesterday so hopefully this will nudge them along a bit.

Dear Mr Udy,
Re. Account number:************
Thank you for your letter dated 07/03/07
I respectfully decline your offer of settlement and request, once again, that you return to me all charges imposed on this account, totalling £668.00
I will accept the sum offered only as part settlement and on the clear understanding that I will pursue recovery of the remainder, with a County Court claim if necessary. I intend to claim the full amount claimed together with interest up to the date of judgment and court fees in the proceedings through the county court.
This is based on the Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts Regulations, as I believe these default charges are unfair and not proportionate to your costs, and therefore the woolwich county court will rule in my favour.
I have attached a full schedule of the charges with this document.
I look forward for a full response to this letter within 14 days, otherwise I will commence court proceedings to reclaim my money.
Yours faithfully,November wins ;
