    OK,
Going to send off the letter saying..not happy with £48, please pay in full or I will take you to court...

Notice that on the letter I have to put in the name of the court...how do I find that out?

I always left that bit worded as county court or local court - don't worry about the name :D

    Very quick!

Had to send another initial charges refund letter only 2 days ago as the 1st one went to the wrong address:mad: ...received a reply today with the usual stuff and have offered me £157 out of the £435 I was looking for. Could do with the money right now but that is still a big difference in amounts!

Tell them you will accept the £157 as part payment but you intend to carry on your claim for the full amount

    Xmas Saver!
Hi barclay card have refunded automatically £422 TO MY ACCOUNT although the charges are way more than that. Also another letter came today to say they have reduced my credit limit from £700 to £290. Which after them putting in refund of charges that is what is left on my account. Should i go for the whole lot. Am sooo gutted. Mind you i feel like cutting up the card and sending it back. Think i will anyway Anyone else had this happen to them

    Hi.
if you accept the £422 that they put on your account, it effectively closes the claim and you wont be able to put in a claim for the remainder, you could refuse the money, but as they have reduced your credit limit( highly suspicious, but they are within there rights to), if you refuse the money there is a possibility that they could charge you over limit fees each month.

if you do accept the payment, the cliam is then effectively closed, but if you do decide to proceed, just report the matter to the financial obsbunmen and office fair trading, as barclays are using big brother tactics and putting you in a position that could cause you more expense.

Would it be worth cutting and running, as some money is better than none at all, it depends on how far you are prepared to go.

I settled with capital one for £140, which was the difference between £12.00 and what I had been charged, as i had enuf of it, but with barclays im sticking to my guns.

    Good luck. x:rolleyes:
