Capital One, NEVER offer the full amount t first stage. You will need to take it all the way and this will mean getting a letter from the FOS saying that they do not agree with your claim etc. The FOS will then assign someone to look into the case which means an extra 4-6 weeks. However, Capital One always come back with the offer amount plusi nterest. SO stick to your guns, and don't be tempted to settle if you have a claim for a good amount. Remember the FOS is free and they do keep you informed but it is a slow process.

i rang them yesterday and said they are sending me out the last 6 years of charges within 5 days

Hey, just wondering if you received your charge details yet? Still no response for me but I sent them a letter rather than phoning them. Still haven't heard anything back from Lloyds either as I'm claiming charges back from a Vantage card I had as well!

I sent my letter first class recorded on the 10th February and I'm still waiting. Can anyone tell us what happens if I haven't received them after the 40 days?

    IT TAKES AGES!!!!

I sent the letter requesting my statements on 31st Jan - cheque was cashed very soon after this date but no statements so I phoned them about every 2 days and eventually got them early this week. They kept saying theyd been sent out the day before!!

    Good luck!

I thought I'd chance my luck and not send the £10. Got a letter this morning asking me to send the cheque and reminding me that the 40 days doesn't start till they receive it

Edit to say its taken them nearly a month just to tell me that!
