  • Help Please! I am trying to reclaim credit card charges for my ex boyfriend but have been met with a wall of stalling. Can anyone suggets my next move? Have just received letter back saying they cannot find information at the address even though the address for the card (now paid off) has been the same for the period of 6 years in question. They managed to cash the £10 cheque for the information instantly, but the nformation they seem to be creating obstacles. When I write back what should I say? Can anyone out there suggest some wording for me? Many thanks:rolleyes:

    Hi There,

I have had my letter from capital one to say that the money they are offering me is their final offer. I want to take the next step, ie small claims or FOS. I am in Scotland, so I know that the most the small claims court will award is £750.00. I think that I can use the small claims in England but not the moneyclaim service that is available online.

I am after £1200 from them, they have offered £210.

    Can anyone help?
    Thanks,

    Skint Lynne

I have just received a letter from Capital One stating that the £316 they have offered is ALL they are going to offer. I want to take it further and was wondering which was the quickest and easiest route to take?

    TIA

If this is for a Credit Card, please read Martin's guide for the options.

Well would you believe it after winning against cap1 on friday with my court case i got a letter off them with a cheque for full amount great you may think, but on looking at the cheque more closely they have only gone and made it out to my address and not my name they really are trying to hang on to every penny. Not to worry though apparently they will issue me with another cheque i hope so because i am not informing the court they have paid until the chque is in my bank.
