  • Excellent thanks I will send of the info today
  • Yes you can claim from a closed account, I am doing so, as long as the charges are less than six years old.
  • By the way, they sent the info to me without paying the £10, so I would try initially with not sending the £10

just read what others have posted as Crap! are very predictable and follow the same route all the time. You will therefore know what to expect and you can make up your own mind what route to take! good luck.

I'm claiming £548 from capital one. Last week I received an offer of £192 this I accepted as PART PAYMENT. Today 15/9/07 I have received another letter -
"We are confident our fees are both fair and legal and I'm disappointed to hear you're consdering court action. The OFT haven't told us that we're obliged to refund any fees.. we've offered refunds as a gesture of goodwill.. I'm afraid I'm not prepared to refund all the fees we've added as you've asked." Financial regulations require me to advise you that this is my final response in relation to this matter. I hope we can move on from here. !!

    What can/should I do next.

    Any help greatly appreciated.

Standard letter. Now that you have their final offer letter you can take them to court or decide to go to the FO.
  • Hi K1mmie,

I was challenging crap 1 on two accounts & received letters similar to yours I took the MCOL route & recieved full payment inc interest on both accounts. stick with it & they'll cave in
