LOL :rotfl: (got a brother called Dave though - you psychic?) did a double take when I saw it!
I'll give them a call tonight!
I could do with one claim ending as Nationwide & monument are likely to take a very long time - I wouldn't mind but the Nationwide one finished the mycol stage over two months ago... How do they manage to do that? The court told me I would get a date last week but then again the postal strikes might hold it up.. but it still seems a very long time - not read other people waiting that long! Started Monument one in February - but I think it's slightly different for credit cards ??? hope so!
congrats & I hope you cheque does arrive soon! :TLight bulb moment April 07: [strike]£3,655 [/strike] Oct 07: [strike]£2,220[/strike] now 0 - 3 years of Uni debt to be added at a later datenow at Uni as a Mature student -update: now has a First Class BA!0 -

Congratulations Jill, glad to hear that you are £1,130 better off now, does that mean that you are buying the beers LOL.
Please don't leave the Crap One thread, as your messages have been an inspiration to us all & keeping us going.
Cap 1 have acknowledged my claim & entered a defence on 31st.
Let me get this right, they acknowledged your claim on the 6th, received a letter on the 20th & your cheque arrived today.
regards Dave0 -
What are Crap1 like for going through FO. My husbands claim has been going through them for about 6/7 weeks now. When you call (if you can get through), all we were told was it could be about 3 weeks to hear form them. Then called again they said it would be about 6-8 weeks. WHat is going on????0

I just rang Capital One ....
:j :j AND they said a cheque was posted today!!! :j :j
I rang up and asked if there was a new information and he asked me do you mean about the cheque! I just just yes... I didn't know anything about a cheque so bluffed it! I've not heard anything since the so called refund of £120 on a closed account... and when you call up you get to hear your balance and it said zero:o - so I wasn't hopeful and what with the test case coming up!
£278.33 - charges, interest & court cost!
yipeee... my first 'win'
I'm well chuffed!
I'll ring RBS Credit Card up tomorrow and see what they say - who knows
Thanks Jonnynonails - I'm a bit wimpy about ringing up about this sort of stuff... I can't talk my way around people at all so I was waiting for a letter!

Yeah good idea wiat till the money has been credited to your account before stopping court action.
I have two claims against cap 1 the one which been acknowledged was a mastercard acc & I have asked for a total of £896.15 in costs & a few days ago (after pay day) started court action against cap1 (visa acc) asking for £742.80. I do accept that it was only myself that caused my acc to be so badly run however that didn't mean that cap 1 could rob me blind. Cap 1's constant telephone calls at evening meal times drove me mad. Now it's get even time. This site is a real winner for all.
claimed successfully £1440 from first direct (easy claim)
pending claim with Barclaycard £700
+ two Cap 1 claims for a total of £1,638.95
ps hope that you sent Martin a magum of champers :rotfl:

I rang the Cap one number and was told that I could not be put through to that dept (claims)as they did not have telephone links and were not allowed to speak to public by phone. I must post etc. Frustrated as 21 days is up and also have been given judgement by default by MCOl but all gone very quiet from Cap 10
