Hi Ashlee & Jonnynonails.

Hope all is well.

Im in the same situation as you both,waiting for my cheque after receiving a latter from CRAP ONE saying that they are going to send it in 14 Days.

Do you think they are just making it up that the dont include weekends in the 14 days?

What really annoys me is why didnt they just send the cheque with the letter they sent saying that they are refunding all of the charges (with the words, so enclosed is a cheque!)

Also it does not take 14 days to receive something in the post!!!!!!!!!!!!

Im going to ring the bank & question this.

Let me know when you receive yours i you do not mind & will let you know the same.

hi suger i phoned them yesterday morning and the 14 days is up by the 8th of august, its 14 working days so the guy said on the phone, so bascially its bloody more than 14 days in me eyes lol will tell u if i get mine as postie cums quite early on a morning to our house will be first in the queue to put mine in the bank i think lol cheers jill

jills post always comes earlier than mine ive noticed but we seem to have gotten things on the same day before! )

im off on holiday tomorrow so Ill be expecting my cheque on the doormat when I get back on Friday 10th! if not there'll be harsh words on the phone to them!

on a better note Halifax refunded £3070 into my bank account overnight!!! and on that note im off to Florida! ill catch up with events when I get back!!!

hi ash u might read this b4 u go hope u have a great hoilday, would u beleive it my daughter has flew to florida 2 day to wiv me sister and her hubby , glad u got ur charges back of halifax was a nice bonus that was b4 u went any ways have a gud time jill

The last few posts mention telephoning. This highlights the different approaches which happened to me re NAT WESTwhowould not discuss over the phone and yet did with others
Cap One -I despair - Claim of £865 which is now over £1200 with interest and court fees
Offerred £ 360 several times and last letter saying final/ final offer
Started MCOl 11 july deemed served on --forgot -- I got default judgement today for the whole amount.
Others onthis site have said that they have paid out on 21 days which should be 1st /2nd August - Nothing yet
i telephoned today to ask ' what next' in view of court granting default so if no money in 14 days this should mean warrant/bailffs
Staff member 'not allowed to transfer you to this dept They do not have telephone links (Oh yeah) Theynare not alowed to discuss cases over the phone you can only write. They only accept post!!'

hi ripski still waiting 4 my cheque which in a letter did say 14 days , i did phone up 2 days ago and i spoke to a guy he went threw my details knew how much i claimed 4 and i asked him about hubbys and he told me that info 2, but he did say they are 14 working days so that means its going to take till the 8th of august b4 u see ur cheque jill

Mine got acknowledged on the 13 July... I havn't received any letters though... or cheques. Does anyone think that I've missed the boat on this one?

hi dave mine got acknowledged on the 12th but i got a letter saying i would get a cheque within 14 days today i got me cheque so did hubby , would give them a ring and ask i phoned 2 days ago , he said it would be here by the 8th of august no later , so if i were u just give them a ring and see gud luck jill
