Hi everyone, just read in another thread that we can still claim from credit card charges. Is this right or do they all come under the same banner as the banks awaiting a test case. Already had an offer from cap1 for less than a third of amount, turned it down. They have now sold debt on AGAIN to another DCa. The last one sent it back to cap1. Getting P****d off with them now.

  • Bit fo help needed please....

I am reclaiming £862.78 (inc int), and today recieved an offer of £276, with an acceptance letter basically stating "i accept this payment as closure of my complaint".......... i do not want to do this.

How do i go about accepting this as a 'part-payment' only?

    Many thanks in advance.

I had the same paperwork regarding my credit card. I crossed out the part that says something like 'I accept this as full and final settlement'. I then added a covering letter stating that I would accept this as part payment only. However, they wrote back saying that they are sorry that I wasn't happy with their offer but this was their final offer, and they re-sent me the form to sign again.

I am starting court proceedings for the full amount as soon as I get paid again next month.
  • Thanks for that. Was thinking of going down that line, but was just wondering if someone had a 'template' letter.

Did'nt think i'd get anywhere without going down the court line, but just wondered about the template bit.

    Cheers.

I got a letter yesterday giving me £80 as a gesture of goodwill - it had already been paid into my account (card) .

Hi guys, I have recieved a letter today from Crap1 to offer me a goodwill gesture of £40! No way is that enough! Before I sent my last letter threatening court action I thought I would check my account online and add the new charges to my letter. Only to find I can't log in! Has this happened to anyone else?

    How much were you claiming?
