All the info on this site says -Yes go for it .The FO Report came up with £ 12.00 as being a fairer figure but this has not been decided inlaw and many say it is still too steep.I am going for it all as it is a 'penalty' ie slap on the wrist for late payement and not a service charge. To be fair the credit companies have reduced their fees since the report but the banks are cheekier and have not done so. They have prob decided that on balance they make more out of charges than repaying the relativley few who claim.
I won with Nat west had to take court action. Prior to this I was pathetic, stressed, felt it was my fault, embarrassed and thought that I would be the one to have to go all the way to court
Winning Nat West has really empowered me I'm going for all now and past closed accounts.
Cap one offerred me £ 360 for a claim of £658 Maiinly based on the difference between the £ 20 and the £ 12.00 I have now started MCOl and should hear by 8th august if they are going to settle . Day before they received the Court claim I got another letter saying last /final offer "You can keep writing to us if you want but we will not up the offer"So we shall see

Hi all just had a letter off cap one regarding my claim for $1023 (sorry no pound sign on this pc) . They offered me as a good will gesture 288 to which I declined . I have now had another letter stating that they are dissapointed that Im considering court action but they wont be upping the offer as this is the final one they will be making and as far as there concerned the final responce too .Now they have told me to go to the FO before I use the court action...
anyone else had this sort of reply ...?
Keep up the good work ..

p.s they are keeping the offer of 288 open to me to accept..
