I've popped your thread in with others claiming from the Clydesdale so you can keep track of others reclaiming.0

After proceeding to Step 4 - threatening to go to court, I received a reply after 15 days. This reply was a standard our position remains the same letter, it's your responsibility to maintain the account, you know the charges etc. etc
However they did enclose a cheque for exactly half the amount I was claiming and said this was in an attempt to resolve the matter without the disproportionate expense of a court action and was tendered without admission of liability. The reply went on to say that should I cash the cheque that it would be my acceptance of the claim and would be in full and final settlement.
Should I settle for this or begin the Small Claims procedure.
My claim is for £ 197.240 -
In response to my letter threatening to take Clydesdale to court they have sent which looks like a standard letter from a newly created department in Leeds stating that they are currently reviewing my claim and will feedback accordingly. I have had this letter for a week now, if theres no response within a couple of days i will start to file a claim with the courts. Will keep you posted. Cheers Craig0

hi could anyone tell me if they have claimed bank charges from the clydesdale bank, was thinking of going for it but have a hefty overdraft with them. thanx0
-
I took advice from the site and wrote to the Clydesdale Bank who charged me around £150 in overdraft fees for being overdrawn by £12.
I have just had a call to say that in order to respond to my letter they want a £10 charge and then they will send it off to a special department.
Has anyone else had similar experiences? Any advice?
