I went into the Clydesdale Bank branch with my son who had rung up charges last year. They were super and refunded them all on the spot. We must have been lucky but, maybe, it is worth trying to be nice to your manager, it certainly worked for us!
  • im in the process with clydesdale bank i sent the first letter and received the standard letter back telling me about their terms and conditions, so i have just sent the letter saying i will go to court watch this space.I will go to court if i have to.lol

    Hello all! New poster here.

Have tried to reclaim £1750 in charges from Clydesdale Bank. Wrote to them on 18/1/07 and got the bog standard terms and conditions reply, now have written 2nd letter today.

Has anyone had any experience of dealing with Clydesdale in this situation? If so, when do they pay?!

    If at all

Also, because the small claims limit is £750 in Scotland, how do I go about claiming more?!

    HELP!!!!

Typical, seems like Clydesdale are one of the toughest to get cash from, havent seen a single success story yet!!! Aaaarghh!

  • I have been waiting over 2 weeks now on the Clydesdale Banks response to my letter Threatening to take them to Court after the refused to repay charges of £1000 - should i proceed to Step 5 by actually starting court proceedings or send another letter? Cheers Craig

No more letters, you need to file the claim. They've had plenty of time.
  • Hi There Everybody

Getting a bit anxious re Clydesdale Bank situation, as there doesn't seem
to be any success stories with them yet. I received my statements ok, then
worked out the charges, wrote the letter. I received a reply today, just basically going over all the terms and conditions, etc. I claimed back about £580 - they have offered me £67.50.

Not quite sure as to how I should proceed - help!

    FrankieB
  • You need to refuse the offer and tell them you are proceeding with court action.
