    Hi there

After been successful claiming charges of £2700 from the HSBC bank i have sent my letters off today requesting details from the YORKSHIRE BANK. I am alittle scared as it doesn't seem as easy as HSBC. They seem to br fighting more!!!

Does anybody have the Leeds telephone number and address as it may be quicker writing derect to them rather than going through my local branch.

Also want to know if anybody as been succesful without going to court. 'The thought really scares me' and didn't have to do this with the HSBC.

    Thanks for any help
    hi Debi

I take it you read my post about going through the financial ombudsman, it did take a few weeks but it will take at least 4 weeks to start going to court, There is a form that you can fill in on pc and post to them, I'll look it up and add it to my next post.

But also I found the address and telephone number for leeds for you.

Clydesdale Bank - Advice Quality Unit - Charges Section - Third Floor - Brunswick Point - Wade Lane - Leeds - LS2 8NQ.

  • Started my claim against clydesdale bank for £800 + interest 7th march. got to LBA stage then didn't here anything from them apart from a letter saying they were looking into my complaint. Out of the blue received a cheque on 15th June for £466 which I have accepted. not keen to take things any further . the way I look at it is never really expected anything so £466 is a bonus to put it mildly!

Waited patiently for my statements (due mid june) and guess what none came. phoned again today to be told that it'll now be 6th July before backlog cleared. asked why someone claiming later than me (cloth ears) was settled before me. got some bull about all requests being handled in chronological order and how he/she must not have requested statements. already put in a complaint letter (april) - no reply. sending another today. then I'll phone on 7th July to find out when the new date is.
    forever hopeful :p
  • Hi guys, Im with the clydesdale bank and i have just received my 6 years worth of statements. I am a little confussed about what i can reclaim. And the meaning of 'SC' on statements, theres no reference to this on the chart ie SO, DD. But heres what i THINK i can reclaim.....'Fee-Recalled S/O' (so=standing order) iv been charged up to £35 each time'Fee-Returned D/D'(dd=direct debit) iv been charged up to £25 each time'Irrergular-Fee' ?'Arrangement Fee'.... iv no idea what this is for!Am i right in thinking that if my direct debitor and standing orders bounce and i get charged £25 each time, that i can reclaim these? Also and very importantly what does SC mean, over last 6 years its went up from £15 to £22.50 to £25. is this a service charge? it appears roughly once a month on my statments. but sometimes i dont get charged for it at all!?! Any information would be great guys! Thanks :)Fiona
  • Has anyone had their account closed after settling with Clydesdale bank? I'm just about to send my claim and am a bit worried abou this.

got my first set of statements on Sat. and they are for my 2nd account, which incurred very litte charges (£75 in total, £90.76 with int added) wonder why my 1st account details are taking so long. can't be due to the number/amount available to be reclaimed surely? keep you informed.
    forever hopeful :p

I'm currently claiming back from the Clydesdale, having claimed back from MBNA and others. They don't half drag their heels, this lot...well over the 40 days for the statements. And they cashed the £10 cheque too. More letters on the way...
