I really think you should try reading the reclaiming in scotland thread and see what others have done as everyone is now in the same situation as you are due to the real load of claims they all have. Clydesdale yes is difficult compared to the others but read all the threads as you will pick up tips from them. I have half my claim paid but have now gone to financial ombudsman service to collect the rest if I can as I did not feel like letting them off with it!. Good luck but you may have to be patient and at least they wrote to you to say they will get it to you as soon as possible.Saving in my terramundi pot £2, £1 and 50p just for me! :j0

still no further forward with ongoing claim. now to add insult to injury I've just been hit with a £25 unauthorised O/D charge. This despite the fact I gave a teller an envelope with the money to credit my account. (usually use the pay in drawer) I noticed the money wasn't in at 5pm (too late bank shut) so I transferred £50 from my second account (internet banking)to cover it until Tuesday. This appeared OK on Friday, but today it isn't!!!!! I think I'll close the account on Tuesday and transfer all but my mortgage and loan to my parachute account. I'm heart sick of CB and all it's faults.forever hopeful0

Hi
Can someone PLEASE help me? I have been trying to get charges back for my partner (previously done it with HBOS and although I filed a small claim, money was refunded shortly after)and have followed the process step by step.
The return date was Wednesday and when I phoned they said that the clydesdale were going to attend court. ie. They are going to defend the action!!
Has anyone been in the same situation with Clydesdale? I thought this might be a scare tactic but the court date is this Wednesday!!!
Also this is his first claim, so the stuff about multiple claims doesn't apply here does it?
Please can anyone advise or point me in the direction of someone who can?
Thanks

went to bank this morning about the charge. seems it was my fault (and it was) that the original money wasn't credited. no details on payslip (d'oh) but credit where credits due they (as a goodwill gesture) gave me the £25 back. Word of warning to you all........if you have a S/O or DD due that will put you into an (unauthorised)overdraft, you must put the money in by 3pm or they will levy a charge. I put mine in at 5pm thinking it was OK before midnight of the due date. Hence the charge. Still waiting on my statements tho'.forever hopeful0

hi just a quick question, is clydesdale financial services the same as clydesdale bank?0

Wonder if anyone has had this problem before?
I am currently claiming £2300 from the Halifax and am about to start court proceedings as my 14 day deadline is due to expire.
My husabnd is trying to reclaim back his charges from the Clydesdale bank. However he has been waiting for his statements since February. He has written and called the bank to no avail and he has reported them to the Information Commissioner for breach of data protection twice (once online and once by post). He still hasn't received any statements from the bank or even an acknowledgement from the data commissioner that they have received his complaints.
Has anyone else experienced this or does anyone have any advice on what to do next. Any help would be appreciated.
ThanksHave been DEBT FREE for 4 years and staying that way :T0 -
looking at all these threads, clydesdale bank seem to be the worst. Something worth remembering though, to all having second thoughts. THEY ARE NO DIFFERENT TO ANY OTHER BANK. They are just very good at scare tactics. You need to stick in there. You will get your money! Dont be put off at the court stage, by the story of the solicitor turning up at court. all they have done is ask for more time. THEY CANT DEFEND THE CASE. BANK CHARGES ARE UN-DEFENDABLE. REMEMBER THAT! These dispicable people will try every trick in the book. Have faith. ITS YOUR MONEY. YOU ARE GETTING IT BACK.0
