  • if the bank was any other company they would be shut down for the sheer and utter dis-regard to its members. I cannot wait until I stand in court against them.......I will take my case all the way...............
  • has anyone else phoned the head office in Glasgow to make an official complaint against Leeds?..........go for it.......it is brilliant, they must follow procedure and deal with your complaint.........I'm going to call again tomorrow........if we all call and make a complaint everyday they will need to hire another department.......and, if Im correct, and they end up running it as bad as leeds they will be torn apart.............c'mon,,,,,,go for it!!
  • hi everyone, got a reply from clydesdale saying they get loads of letters requesting statements so it will take longer to get them, ive noticed alot of people have had this letter, i then sent a letter back asking for my £10 cheque to be payed back to me as a goodwill gesture as they took my payment straight away and did not give me the information requested within the 40 time scale as this is a policy that they must adhere to, then basically told them they have 7 days to send my statements. this probably wont work and i can see me having to fight this for ages!! ive found all of this a bit draining but keep thinking bout the money that is due to me!, im wondering how long i have to wait on my statements

ive got another account set up with the halifax, without the use of my overdraft, at least i have learned something for a change!! ;)
  • I hand delivered a letter to my branch requesting copies of my bank statements for the past 6 years, I got a copy of the letter date stamped by the branch to acknowledge the £10. When the 40 days was almost up I received a letter to say....'due to the volume of requests..blah, blah'...they couldn't get my statements out to me within 40 days. I still haven't had my statements. However, I am a very untidy person and don't get round to throwing things away. I have managed to find the majority of my statements and/or letters for the past 6 years. A total of £2824.48 (inc interest). I sent a recorded delivery letter to my branch asking for repayment of the total amount including interest and very promptly received a reply from the Leeds office refering me to their standard terms and conditions and telling me they are not prepared to refund my claim. I'm moving onto the next stage and have used the template to again ask for my refund. I'm going to send this letter to Leeds. Should I also persue a complaint now for their non supply of my statements after accepting my money?

    Hi Guys,

Just thought I'd update you wats happening with my claim.
Since im in Scotland and is claiming over £4000 and none of the threatening letters have worked, I was advised to get help from a solicitor, so done that last Thursday, They told me if I wanted to take Clydesdale Bank to court I would have to get a solicitor because of how much I am claiming and scottish laws and all that.
But first they are going to send a letter from them to ask for money, before going to court, as he thinks this might make a difference getting a letter from a solicitor because they know that people are getting the standard letters from various web site's.
Anyway it is going to cost a bit If I do have to take them to court, so lets hope that I would win so I can claim court and solicitor fees back:doh:
  • well well.........looks like complaining worked.......my statements have arrived..........

    update to follow....
