Clydesdale (merged)

Hi folks,
Two weeks ago, i sent my 2nd letter to the Clydesdale, asking for £1660. I'm awaiting a response but as i live in Scotland i am expecting to run into difficulties.
Should i divide my claims, so that they are all below £750 & make seperate claims?
Please help!0 -
Please. Has anyone had any success with this bank?
Scotland only please. This is so confusing
They stole another £70 from my account yesterday (putting me into the red).
I've already sent the 2nd stage letter, 2 weeks ago. Do i start another claim for this latest £70?
I'm gutted, they've taken my last few quid & left me with no money for food or petrol...and i drive for a living. 10 more days till i get paid too. :mad:0 -
Sorry require help again. I contacted the Clydesdale re an old Bank A/C. I went in to my old branch and was told no details as I closed the A/C aprrox 3 yrs ago. (I cannot find my old A/C number and sort code). I phoned the FOS who said rubbish they have to keep it on file for 6 years. Then I phoned the bank and got loads of apologies and that the manager would contact me. Guess what nothing happened. I have also written to them and been ignored they say they cant find the letter. What now as the longer this takes the less of my 2 years I can claim. The FOS says they can reclaim for me as they have done in the past but they require these details. But I am not sure of next step, any ideas please.

The Clydesdale Bank really are the lowest form of human life. I've had them lie to me, ignore letters, alter loan papers to cover up their own dishonest practices, and lets not forget the £1800 in unlawful charges (theft in my view).
I've been asking since yesterday about how to proceed, hopefully someone out there can tell you.0 -
I've sat in all day waiting for them to phone me back. No phone call, surprise surprise.
Please, can someone tell me what my next move should be?0 -
Clydesdale are quite likely to take it to court and have a solicitor in court so if you are claiming and live in Scotland the best advice is to pass your claim to the Financial Ombudsman.
Have a read of this thread about Claiming in Scotland...

Hi there
Just to let you know that cause my claim is over £1500, Its harder to try to get the courts to claim in scotland. I have been sending lots of letters since February and im getting nowhere, so I have sent all my letters and that to the ombudsman to see if they can help.
Keep you posted0 -
Thanks for your help EdinburghLass, a very helpful thread. I'm just off the phone to the Leeds number, and they've told me the standard guff (expect reply before 11th June). That'll do for the moment.
I'll buy you a drink if i meet you (another Edinburgh punter!). :beer:0 -
Okay I am at the Small Claim stage, the return date was the 2nd and they are going to ATTEND COURT!!!
HELP I am panicking now? What happens now??

Hi. I have written off to the clydesdale asking for a list of charges over the last six years. I got a letter back saying they would get me the information in the time frame... then a few days before that deadline.. they wrote again and said 'due to the high demand of requests, in this high profile issue we are unable to get it to you in time, but will as soon as possible'.
I phoned to find out how long this might be... was told I would be called back.. then never heard anything!
So have sent off the complaint to the information commisssioner thing. But now a bit stuck! What do I do now. I cannot even request the money if I do not have the information and do not know how to get it!
Hope someone can help.:o0
