Hi there,
After sending letters threatening to go to court I got a letter dated 7th March saying they are reopening my complaint, and they will write as soon as possiable once they have the opportunity to review it.
Wat should I do because its been a while now, and there is no contact numbers. I've read that some people have been offered amounts but I haven't yet
My claim is for around £4100, but that was for 6 years, so i'd be quite happy I think to get offered half, as its money I expected not to have anyway.

I am claiming money back from two a/c's with clydesdale. One amount higher than the other. I have been sent two letters with cheques in them. The first one for the smaller amount was for £463.25 (Though the letters did not stipulate which a/c it was for.) This got sent back with a thanks but no thanks letter.
The next day I received another cheque fot £ 932.67 ( again no indication which a/c it was for.
I banked this cheque as payment for the smaller amount that I am claiming and have written to clydesdale informing them of this. I am now waiting for a settlemant figure / cheque for the biggy0 -
Clydesdale bank, where I'm at:
Been writing to them since early January, fist to my branch, then to complaints dept in Glasgow and then finally to the Leeds charges section.
Upon sending the second letter to Leeds they have offered me half of what I'm claiming (half of £270 approx), they also call the letter a 'final response'. This is unacceptable to me.
When I recieved the offer, instead of seeking detailed advice on the internet, I sent off this complaints form: http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/consumer/form/complaint_form.pdf along with a copy of the 'final response' letter.
I am now worried that I have been too hasty and instead should have asked for a letter of 'deadlock' from the bank.
Also, in my claims to the bank I have not been including interest should I now be claiming that as well?
I hope I have explained all that well enough, any advice on this is greatly appreciated. The bank have infuriated me so much on this one, I want to claim back as much as possible from them now.0 -
Hi All
We are in the final stages of claiming from Clydesdale Bank - they have written to us with the standard guff about contracts etc. and we now have a court date (in Scotland) of 3rd April. They have put in a defence but part of that defence is claiming that we didn't supply them with info on the amounts incurred and dates - which was rubbish!! We have supplied them with the info again, but it does seem to be going to the wire. NatWest paid out with no bother at all on two accounts, but we did have to prompt them and threaten court action. Anyone who has been to court with Clydesdale - what were the results?0 -

Well after rejecting the cheque received for over £740 as full payment and my without predjudice letter I have had the **** off letter and if you want we will see you in court basically although I did not say I would go to court I did say I would use the ombudsman. It still says if I cash it I accept their terms although I did not say I accepted them but I have not cashed it - tempting though it is. Ombudsman here I comeSaving in my terramundi pot £2, £1 and 50p just for me! :j0
