you need to stick a note through every residents letterbox , telling them the truth.

I wish this was me cause i would love such a fight.
Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:

Dates still important though, if it was before Oct 1 then the letter is nullified, if after then all appeal separately and cost them a bundle.

Sorry, I should have confirmed it was after 1 October - just last week.

I wonder what might happen if I just ignored the parking ticket people, and just sent a terse letter to the housing association. As neither I nor my fellow tenants have parked improperly, surely we can't be compelled make an appeal on pain of getting 'invoiced' more?
  • Well its up to you, do you want to cause them monetary pain or just ignore them?
The process for pain is to all appeal, you will all be rejected (unless they are watching on here) you then should be given a number each to appeal to POPLA. Each appeal costs them £27.oo+vat and is binding on them but not you. They would have to take you (ALL) to court and with their paperwork I'd be surprised if they do.
Let others of greater knowledge on here or pepipoo.com advise you first.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

    You could all appeal individually

Then do the appeal popla costing them £32 x number of tennants ticketed:) cost the PPC a fair bit then lol
    For everthing else there's mastercard.
    For clampers there's Barclaycard.

As much as they would seem to want to, the Housing Association cannot just wash their hands of the actions of their agents. They are the principals, PTL are acting as their agent, and as such the HA are responsible for their agents actions.

I would be inclined to get each and every resident to:

    a) Send the HA a letter as suggested in post#17. If it ever got to court (unlikely, I know), you could then show the HA had the opportunity to do something but didn't.
    b) Appeal to PTL and then, on rejection, appeal to POPLA costing PTL £27+VAT x number of residents
    c) Ignore the POPLA decision (assuming there isn't an outbreak of common sense)
    d) Sit back and wait for PTL to issue court claims.

I'm wondering if the object between the housing association and the ppc is to get the residents to appeal to gain names address's to vehicles? Or am I being way to cynical here?

I don't think so tbh. They will get the details from the dvla anyway as they are BPA AOS members

    Kenny,

    What has happened since?

Are residents still displaying the original HA supplied permits?
Or have new 'valid' ones been issued?
If not, have PTL issued any more PCNs?

That's true but if you wrote in and appealed it could save them the trouble of asking dvla?

No you let PTL spend £2.50 with the DVLA and then appeal to PTL after they have sent the first threatening letter
