Hi,
I'm new to the forum. HBoS have only sent me three years' worth of my Bank of Scotland statements, but I'll wait a few days longer. Although I no longer bank with them and the account is closed, I am aware of how devious these people can be, and am concerned that if I instigate any reclaim of charges that they will foreclose on two large loans I have outstanding with them. Can they do this?0 -
Just logged into Moneyclaim to place another claim and to check the status of another.
In the Judgment column is says start so I clicked on this and the following came up:
Do you wish to enter Judgment by Default or by Admission? Please select one of the options below:
The defendant has not filed an admission or defence to my claim
(Judgment by Default)
You will need to decide, how and when you want the defendant to pay. You can ask for the Judgment to be paid by instalment or in one payment.
The defendant admits that all the money is owed
(Judgment by Admission)
If the defendant has given a new address on the form of admission to which correspondence should be sent, update the defendant's details within the following Judgment request.
Which do I choose?
Sorry if I sound stupid but don't want to mess it up!0 -
Didn't take much notice at the beginning, my father had been telling me all about "Martin" and the unfair charges campaign. I have finally taken the plunge, writing to all my accounts, old and new. They are;
First Direct
Lloyds TSB
GE Capital
MBNA
Morgan Stanley
Intelligent Finance
Halifax
Barclaycard
I originally sent "Letter 1" on the 16th January 2007; this was from the templates found on this website. To date I have only had responses back from First Direct and Barclaycard. First Direct have issued my statements so I can work out my charges, Barclaycard have written explaining that they will respond with the information within the "Legal" 40 days.
I have now sent (13/02/2007) the "letter 2" to first direct claiming £2668.50, didn't push for interest will keep that in the back pocket, could be useful has a bargaining tool.0 -

You choose Judgment by Default as bank will not admit they owe you money.0 -

I have been claiming from Capital One myself and the address I have been dealing with from the beginning is:
Capital One Bank
PO Box 5283
Nottingham
NG2 3YJ
Don't know about Tesco though. Is there not an address on your statements
Southend-On-Sea, SS1 9AJ.
The address for Capital One is as you have quoted. Robert Udy - Executive
Office Manager is a contact name.0 -

Some banks send the statement/info out in batches so do wait to see if more arrive.
Your loans are different agreements with the bank and should be okay.0
