Sorry if this questions has already been answered elsewhere, but I was hoping someone might be able to help.
I took the RBS to the small claims court for £4409 (including the court fee of £120) on 17th January. They acknowledged the claim on 26th January and so now have a further 28 days to defend it. They have since sent me a letter (dated 2nd February) offering a settlement of £2599.
Since I have already taken them to the small claims court should I ignore this settlement offer or accept it, knowing that I will lose my £120 I paid to take them to court plus £1800 or so?
Any help would be hugely appreciated.

Don't ignore it but do write back and say thanks, but no thanks! They may then up their offer.0 -

This works out different to what I have worked it out with Martins calculator, which do i do
Use the figures that Martins calculator gives you. This uses more decimal places to work out the interest, .00022 is slightly rounded up.How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

Lots of people have won against Lloyds (this bank have not defended and won a single case in court).
Look through the Success sticky to see people reporting their victories over the banks. Lloyds are mentioned lots of times. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

I am trying to reclaim £1250 bank charges from Lloyds TSB, the first letter I sent I got the reply back saying 'they stand by their charges etc..'. I therefore wrote a second letter saying I wasn't happy with this and unless I received a response within 7 days I would take them to court. Yesterday (approx 2 weeks after last letter) I went on the 'Moneyclaim' Website and put in my claim. Today I have received a letter from Lloyds Tsb offering me a 'goodwill' refund of £750 which they will pay in to my account in the next few days - I'm not sure where to go from here. If I cancel the court claim I lose my £120 cost but if I carry on what do I do about the £70 the bank are about to pay into my account? Please can anyone advise? Thanks0

The question is, does anyone have exp dealing with Natwest Credit Cards? Are they quicker to settle or can I expect to repaet My current account model with them?

Write to the bank saying something like..................
I cannot accept your offer of £750 as full and final settlement of my claim. I will accept this as part payment and without prejudice, but will continue my claim for the balance. I have made a reasonable effort to settle this claim before issuing a court claim, but you ignored my efforts to settle this. I will now settle only for the full amount of charges+statutory interest+court fee.How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

It's the same process for bank accounts and credit cards (just the charges are different). How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

I have also just started the claim process using template letter one and my bank said it was not possible to send a list of charges but they would be able to send me copy statements at a charge of £5.00 for the last 6 years. I contacted my bank about the letter i received and quoted the text off letter one. and within 15 mins they phoned me back and offered to send all the statements free of charge.Wich I received 3 days later. 17 days after they had received letter one.0
